“This is strictly a repair place, not a jewelry store, in a strip mall that features massage parlors. Don't be put off by the unprepossessing atmosphere. John is a master craftsman who knows his business. I had a saga with an antique garnet and diamond ring that had prongs sticking up. First I took it to Pavé which had repaired earrings for me for $35. As I noted in an earlier review, they would charge $675 to repair the prongs, and recommended removing the garnet for another $325. That was about the price of the ring when I bought it, so I decided against letting them repair it. I took it to Kim's Watches and Jewelry Repair, where I had had a bracelet untangled for only $8. Mr. Kim didn't replace the prongs, but he bended them, for $40. I thought the ring was fine but the prongs began sticking up again. Mr. Kim again worked on the ring, and charged me nothing. But I knew the problem wasn't solved. When I saw the positive reviews for Underhill Studio, I took the ring to John. He carefully examined the ring and showed me photographs. Virtually all the prongs needed replacement, but not the center garnet. It took two visits, but he replaced all of them for $185. The ring looks great and I think the problem is finally solved. If you want an upscale jewelry store, Pavé is fine. If you want an expert who charges a fair price, try Underhill.”

“Okay so let's start out with it Was our anniversary...So our Vibes brought us here for spiritual Brunch!We were headed elsewhere for brunch ended up here and feed our souls for about 2 hours or more. Lost track of time as if the moment we walked through the threshold it paused the world around us all I heard was ancestral words calming my entire being.(Was it the soundtrack from dancing with wolves ...j.k j.k lol he did have a dope native American and Cuban drums and some flute Playlist going)Yo I can't make this stuff up.I only review places I really like,places I really vibe with. So it was pretty fitting that we walked into theSTONE ROOM 2 ...More like Magical Bazaar! You can turn and look a MILLION different ways inside this little Bodega and still miss something huge and Out Of This World or be ready to pay and be like yup I missed all these. So be ready to spend a couple mins or hours or days exploring this MAGICAL place¡ ? ✨️We got each other some things¡”

“I don't even know where to begin with Gigi :-). She is just STELLAR. Great to work with, awesome personality, clear, communicative, a true artist... I came to her with a ring I needed to have reset (and transformed). I wanted to keep some of the integrity of the original piece while also breathing new life/my own personality into it. I had an idea of what I wanted but no clue of how it would be geometrically feasible. Gigi (somehow) figured it out and it is GORGEOUS. It was not an easy design and it involved very delicate stones. Her design and her Goldsmith's work were phenomenal. We then turned the remaining jewels into a beautiful necklace. I want to do more projects with Gigi!”

Their prices seem to always land somewhere between $200-$400. “The selection of gifts are vibrant, uniquely designed, and thoughtfully curated. I appreciated how the store owner allowed me to pair and match various baskets even though they were filled with inventory. I was able to pick up last-minute Christmas presents from Nepal, Kenya and India. If you are looking to add more color or geometric designs to your household, there's a drool-worthy section of constellation-inspired houseware (like salt cellars with stars on them) and beautiful basket planters all over the shop.”
