“Schools First Federal Credit Union customer service representative Suzy User Number 589 went light years above and beyond her job description to help me and my wife with a ATM deposit and we are not even members of her credit union. She stayed on the phone and did everything in her power to fix the problem we had. This is what customer service and caring about people in general should looks like. “This is the best credit union around Sacramento and I have had membership in many. I have now been with SchoolsFirst for over 20 years! Used to be Schools Federal Credit Union. Customer service is top notch. Always someone there to help you find answers to any of your questions. Employees always greet customers with a friendly smile and "hello". They even greet me by my first name which makes me feel really special. I recently encountered a situation where someone had hacked into my computer and I was concerned that the hacker may have gotten some of my financial information. SchoolsFirst customer service reps. worked and guided me through the steps needed to resolve that situation. The hacker, by the way, had not been able to get into my financial information. This branch goes out of their way to keep your account safe as well as walking you through most any financial issues you may be having. Thank you SFFCU for your great customer service!!”

“Ms. Sharon is gonna mess around and make me leave my credit union in favor of Schools! I had a loan with Schools years ago and began receiving statements that showed I had hundreds of dollars in the account. Knowing that was incorrect, I stopped by to ask the staff to look up my account and go over it with me. I was greeted by Ms. Sharon (whom I would later learn is a manager), and another young lady. Ms. Sharon looked up my account and verified the funds were accurate, and that I put them there! She told me how to withdraw some of the monies (I didn't have an ATM or anything), made me an ATM card and then I asked about having the account closed, since I bank elsewhere. Ms. Sharon shared about the recent merger and how membership qualifications have changed, so I decided to keep the account open. I headed to the teller and was helped by Stephanie, who was very nice and provided additional information on how to manage my account. Lovely experience at Schools, I may be switching (primary) credit unions!”

“My husband and I visited the Calvine Pointe branch last night to become members and finalize a vehicle refinance that I had started online. It was our first time working with Schools, and I was so impressed by the customer service. Last night we worked with Stephen, who was friendly, efficient, and so very kind to stay late to accommodate my husband who was stuck in traffic. He provided clear communication about all the paperwork and made the whole process seem quite easy. Stephen exemplified the type of customer care that is so rare these days. “I went there to get money from the ATM and ended up going to the teller, as it was she told me where to find it for my next visit if I wanted it next time. I sat in a huge entry way with a soft couch where I can use the USB port outlet to charge my phone or work on my laptop maybe.”

“Yelpers be yelping I guess. Two stars sounds bogus. I always get excellent customer service at this bank. Friendly and never overly busy. The online app is pretty easy to figure out and if you can't just make a trip to the bank and talk to someone. Be responsible and pay stuff on time and you won't have a problem. I just use the basic checking and minimal credit here so I haven't applied for loans or anything, but I've been using Schools since I was in middle school and I've never had issues like I have with major banks like Wells Fargo or what have you as far as outrageous interest and stuff goes.”
“I recently went into the Bradshaw Branch of the Sacramento Credit Union for a routine matter. The Branch Manager, Veronica Anguiano, and the teller listened to my concerns about a previous computer hack. They reviewed my loans and accounts and made recommendations that saved me about $350 per month. The teller also gave my dog treats and made me feel they care. That is why I continue to use the Sacramento Credit Union for my banking needs. I wish I remembered to write down the teller name. Veronica and her staff supported me through the entire process and made the transition easy. Thank you so much for watching out for me.”

“I can only speak for my own experiences, but I don't understand the negative reviews posted here for this branch. I've had nothing short of great customer experience here. Prior to moving to Safe, I was a Wells Fargo customer for over 6 years (when I had gotten my first job), and they were nothing but a pain to deal with it. I jumped on the credit Union bandwagon because WF was charging me up the you-know-what with fees, not releasing my funds, and their online banking was not always 100% accurate. Safe Credit Union has provided me exactly what I was looking for in a bank, and I feel like they are more welcoming and overall accommodating to their members.”

“Great customer service! I recently moved back to Sacramento after 10 years . I love living in this area, everything I need is close by! I've been banking at Chase for about 8 years now and I have no complaints outside of the long waits at some of the branches! This location is great , lots of parking and friendly and knowledgeable staff ! A young man helped me today, he was friendly , helpful , polite and patient ! Give him a raise ! I didn't catch his name but it was around 4:10pm and he has red hair :-) This is definitely my new go to branch !”
