“Large and spacious hardware store in the old school sense. The staff is knowledgeable like Fragers of yore without the crowded piled aisles. The rooftop garden is a work in progress, but the space should prove incredible before long.Nice tool selection, garden section is adequate but slightly slim on choices, the upstairs has a little bit of everything else.”

“Relentlessly helpful and plain spoken, I've asked a few things that they weren't sure how to answer, not many but a few. I know they weren't certain because they told me, I am not sure about that and don't want to give you bad advice. Go. Go again. They want to make your life easier and they succeed.”

“Edit: credit where due, they went out of their way to reach out and try to figure out a return option after this happened. It is much appreciated! It’s a typical Ace. Half the people who work here act so bothered that you’re interrupting them at the cash register to check out. Been bugged a few times but writing a bad review because they wouldn’t let me return a $75 product because the cardboard box it came it was partially ripped on the top flap (“unsellable”).”

“I love this place!  To the casual observer it appears to be three neighborhood shops. Once inside, you find it's the Winchester (2018) house by Beetlejuice (1998) They have just about everything and it's an adventure.I can't list all you can find there, not sure I've seen it all.  If DiCaprio visited Home Depot in Inception (2010) this would be it.The staff is great and can almost always find a solution. It's a neighborhood gem”

“This is a small neighborhood hardware store but they keep an impressive array of hardware, tools, paint, garden, and "lifestyle" items for most DIY projects. Where the big box stores are geared to accommodate contractors, Annie's aims for the individual and their residence. Staff is always friendly, the store is well staffed for their size so there's always someone available for questions or assistance. I really appreciate a hardware store that can still operate in the neighborhood without leveling 15 acres. Factoring in my time and general frustration with large box stores, the prices for a quick trip down the street are competitive with other options.”

“This is NOT a corner hardware store, this is the place for contractors to go to buy a ton of what they need for a large job. Don't walk in to buy one screw or one pipe clamp. That said, they're good guys in there. Super knowledgeable, very helpful.”

“Their customer service is sterling! I had a problem with a faucet (that I purchased elsewhere) and Weaver's representative contacted the manufacturer, identified the part number, and ordered a replacement part even though the warranty had expired. Wow -- Thank you, Candace!”

“Gregory was the best. I am a former 100% mystery shopper recipient at Logan circle, so I know what it takes for great customer service. And he had it. He had dreads and glasses handsome black man I hope that's his name?”

“This Tenley store which is tucked under the Target has become my ‘local’ Ace. Sadly we lost our Ace in Woodley Park. The staff are helpful & friendly. On recent trips Juan & May both helped me find what I was Looking for in the store’s tight aisles. The store is is only a bus or train ride away, and is dog friendly!”

“I started this review months ago and never finished. That review had 1 star. As usual...this location is absolutely no help. I stood by the drills waiting for assistance. Someone from customer service called across the loud speaker for me and no one came..Now, December 24...I had a very pleasant experience. I didn't need to ask for any help. lol Well, honestly there were 2 guys in the floral department who did stop to answer my question, there was a woman who scanned and told me the prices since the plants were not priced. So, I must say I did receive help. Now theee best part! All of the plants were 50% off! I am in awe and so happy. So guess what!!! I'm giving 5 stars all bc of that. lol there was a little lady who told me "look the Christmas plants are 50%. I told her...and so are all of these." We both were so excited.”

“Ronneisha at the Washington DC Lowe's was super helpful. Greeted me when I walked in and asked if I needed help, which I did! The pavement salt I was looking for was hard to find and she pointed it out. Also helped me check out faster. She also asked me if I found what I needed when I passed by. Usually Lowe's associates are not to be found or not very helpful but Ronneisha was a breath of fresh air!”

“I have to give Douglas a HUGE shout out. I came in completely confused how to fix my oven door hinge and he showed me all the tools I needed, how to use them, and even got me started with the repair. He was beyond helpful and even showed me how to avoid the problem in the future by demoing on one of the models in the appliance section.Every time I come to this store I've found the customer service to be so helpful. I can't imagine going anywhere else for my home repair needs. Thanks again Douglas!”
