“The food was delicious. We had the Morrison salad. My husband had shrimp and grits that he said were very cheesy. I had half a rack of lamb that was cooked perfectly medium rare and tasted great. The restaurant was not at all crowded much to our surprise. Highly, highly recommend.”

“Eaton Workshop DC was the host for a recent two-day conference I organized, and for the most part, it was a solid experience. Working with the conference service manager was smooth sailing, and they were responsive and attentive to our needs. Any issues that popped up along the way were swiftly taken care of once we flagged them to the team's attention. On the day of the conferences, the staff was welcoming and accommodated our needs, which was greatly appreciated. However, there are a couple of areas where Eaton could improve. Firstly, let's talk chairs. We spent two full days in conference spaces with two different types of chairs, and both were akin to sitting on bricks. Investing in some comfier, ergonomic options would do wonders for long events like ours. Secondly, the food. The catering menu left a bit to be desired. Options were limited, and what we did get wasn't exactly top-notch. Even the cookies were disappointingly small, barely bigger than Oreos, which left us scratching our heads. A menu overhaul would be a wise move. Despite these critiques, everything else about Eaton Workshop DC was pretty good. Attendees enjoyed their stay, and surprisingly, the bathrooms garnered quite a positive buzz. So, if you're looking for a venue with impressive lavatories, Eaton's got you covered.”

“The owner, Lucia, is a wonderful hostess, and her breakfasts are truly outstanding. Eggs cooked just for you, plus many other tasty options. The building is historic, but has all the modern conveniences I needed. Many restaurants and interesting neighborhoods to explore within a short walk, also the zoo and Dumbarton Oaks. Very close to Hilton on Conn Ave NW. Will be back.”

“AMAZING SERVICE FROM STAFF!! Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very very small (smaller than downtown Toronto, I wish I'd checked the square footage) and the walls are thin. It was really hard to get to bed, as DC is a booming area, and we heard a lot of fighting and police cars all hours of the night.”

“5 stars across the board for this hotel- the room was unbelievable. Completely spotless, and just stunning all over. I was upgraded to the pres suite, the team at the Hyatt really took good care of me.The breakfast was top notch (I’m not even a breakfast person) and they took good care of my vegan cousin as well. Above and beyond with most things. I didn’t get to use the gym or the pool but stopped by it seemed to be decent enough for a good workout. The linens felt crisp and fresh, the pillows the perfect density. Bed was very comfortable.I used my 4 pm check out to take meetings and work from the room. The best part might’ve been the bathroom, honestly. Staff were friendly and truly helpfulAlso location is fantastic, by GW and George Town and walking distance to the Lincoln memorial and the rest of the park”

“We enjoyed our stay at The Darcy Hotel (which does not look anything like the pictures we saw on Yelp). It's nice inside and very clean and newer looking. The attached restaurant is upscale and serves very good food at high prices. Rooms are quiet, which we like. Bathrooms are European style (small). They have people to open the door for you when you walk up to the hotel and most of the staff are great. They also offer a free Darcy cocktail between 5:00-5:30 in the evening. We tried it and both of us thought it was good. Unfortunately, since the Smithsonian Museums don't close until 5:30 pm, we only got to enjoy this benefit once during our stay. The only downside was that if you have anything wrong in the room and you need assistance, no one will ever come to your room to fix the problem. We tried twice to get assistance (both on the phone and in person at the front desk) and my husband ended up fixing the stopped up sink after we got there and then he figured out how to fix the rattling noise from the furnace vent. Lucky for me, he's REALLY good at fixing things because, as I mentioned, repeated requests for help go unanswered - maybe they don't have maintenance people there? Dunno. I took one star off for that.”

Nathan, worth visiting in the lounge, just know what you are ready to drink. Differently will make our way back.”

“EXCELLENT choice for a stay with children. Our king bedroom had a door between us and the mini kitchenette and living room, which gave us plenty of extra space as well as an area to block off so our 4 month old wouldn't be woken up by the light. Nightly happy hour is a lot of fun (my husband went without me once when I wasn't back from my conference yet and ended up getting a double pour of wine since the bartender thought our kid was cute). There's a large number of selections for breakfast including made-to-order omelets. The metro stop is a short walk away. Staff were super friendly and people were walking up to ask if we were Zoe's parents by the end of the trip. I'll happily stay here again. You get significantly more space and more free food/benefits than other hotels of similar price in the area.”

“Great location and excellent customer service. Close proximity to Metro Center Station and sightseeing spots. Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby. Staff were helpful, polite and friendly. The room was a bit dark and could be improved, everything else was great. I would recommend this hotel due to its good location and excellent customer service.”

“I was disgusted with the person at the reception. She was helpless, rude, arrogant, and upsetting. In just two interactions both at checkin and on a call to the front desk, she managed to ruin my stay in a way that I only wanted to leave the hotel.I’m never staying in this hotel again and I will make sure to never recomended it. Plus I got charged (not a hold) $60 for incidentals on a hotel with such a terrible service. And now having to wait 5 business days to get reimbursed and having to remember to check my card balance q week from now as I checked out on a Friday. Lastly rooms have bad sound insulation and people guests in nearby rooms were were noisy, I had to take an early flight and couldn’t sleep well. Location is great, btw, but not worth the brain damage.”

“I called Advance Purchase back and spoke with Tess who seemed helpful and tried to negotiate with Abby at Canopy. She offered to provide records to show that I made a full payment of $192.21. According to Tess, Abby refused to accept the proof. Tess said the worst-case scenario would be that we get another charge when my guest checked out and that Advance Purchase would refund my money to my Amex. The following day, Sunday, January 14 resulted in a double charge: one charge to my friend and along with the charge already cleared on my Amex. I called and spoke to someone else at Hilton’s Advance Purchase. I had to brief another person on the issue which was time consuming and frustrating. It was especially frustrating because all she could do is create a ticket for Canpoy to handle the issue when Canopy (Abby) kept telling me that it is not their issue, but Advance Purchase’s issue. The customer service agent told me she put in a request for my credit card to be refunded the $192.21.Today, a manager from Canopy called me and said she was refunding my friend’s credit card for the one-night stay. I had expected my card to be refunded because I paid my friend back her $250 that was charged to her card by Canopy. This is the WORST hotel experience I have had in my almost 50 years of life. I cannot believe how unprofessional Hilton’s staff is. If a Hilton honor’s member is treated this poorly, I can’t image how poorly a new guest is treated and/or discriminated against.”

“I stayed in this hotel for a short weekend trip and I was very pleasantly surprised with the level of comfort mixed with modernity that citizenM offers. The rooms felt pretty luxurious with the ability to use an iPad to control the entire room’s lighting, shades/blinds and TV. It felt very similar to the experience you get in a Virgin Voyages Cruise ship. The entire side of the bed was a giant window, bringing in light and a decent view from outside. A room for two with a king bed is relatively small, but the space is so well utilized and decorated that it wasn’t even an issue. The hotel has a very young and trendy vibe, which is very refreshing compared to the hotels I’m used to. The views from the balcony are incredible as well, overseeing both the Capitol and the Washington monument. The service from all the staff in the hotel was very polite and down to earth. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting DC, I would definitely come back!”

“Our recent stay at the Melrose Georgetown was exceptional, exceeding expectations in every aspect. The luxurious accommodations, impeccable service, and exquisite dining options made it a memorable experience. A special thanks to Leslie, whose attentive and personalized service truly elevated our stay. Highly recommend for a top-notch hospitality experience. The included amentites really took it over the top, we loved the morning coffee, afternoon spiced cider and the fruit infused water throughout the day. We will definitely choose the Melrose Georgetown again if we return to D.C.!”

“The location for this hotel is great as it's super close to all of the sites you would want to see in Washington. You can also get lucky on the weekends and find free street parking. However, don't expect for it to be a nice high end hotel it might appear to be on their website. The lobby area is nice but the rooms looked like a bad real estate flip. Something that was done in a rush and as cheap as possible. The breakfast room was a complete mess. The way they designed this space was not ideal or they just didn't think there would be more than 6 people at a time eating there on a weekend. The food was an average free continental breakfast but people kept bumping against each other trying to make a line to get food and against those that had already gotten their food and were trying to sit and eat. Giving it 4 starts just because of service and location but wouldn't stay here again.”

“It's near the station. There are no transfers from the airport, and you can reach the hotel in about 30 minutes. There is a Starbucks and a restaurant inside the hotel. In the morning, Starbucks is so crowded that even the seats at the entrance are filled. You can also order meals in your room. The price wasn't that high either. In the room, there were drinks in plastic bottles for each person, as well as coffee and tea.Amenities included body cream, hand soap, provided shampoo, treatment, and body soap.As a service, cucumber water and lemon & lime water are available near the elevator. However, it didn't seem to be replenished and it seemed like it was running out by 5pm.You can keep your luggage in the closet before check-in and after check-out.Check-in time is 16:00, but you may be able to enter your room at 2:00 pm without any additional charge, and if you are before 2:00 pm, you may be able to enter your room with an additional charge. The front desk staff was also polite and pleasant.I think it's a convenient location to go to the White House and the National Mall.I would like to use it again the next time I go to Washington DC.”

“Hotel very well located, the room with a view keeps its promises, beautiful bathroom, clean and spacious room, good bedding but the size of the beds is quite small. I think 140cm. Very warm welcome on arrival each morning and upon departure we were offered a donut or a healthy snack. Another small downside was that the air conditioning was a little noisy and we could hear the sirens at night.”
