“I've been here a few times over the past year and every time, the staff have been incredibly helpful. I went to mail a passport renewal today and had messed something up, and the staff member working the counter was very patient and funny and helped me fix it. Would not recommend other post offices, but this one is great! Would go out of my way to mail from here.”

“By far one of the best USPS locations in DC wish this locations was my local USPS store since it’s couple blocks down the street…don’t know why north capital is my local USPS…..but for sure will be using this location for shipping anything moving forward……not only were they professional but they even walked me through each step of the way to send an International package as well…….highly recommended location and will be back for sure……and as soon as I paid and they scanned my package I got the status update right away on my USPS app……not like north capital which never updated my status tracking and lost my package even after paying full price for tracking an envelope……a freaking envelope I laid tracking for still is missing and still has not been scanned……please avoid north capital location for shipping anything out……”

“I showed up behind a long line 20 minutes before close thinking I might be out of luck. The woman working managed to get everyone sorted out, advised me on shipping options, and I was checked out with 10 minutes to spare.”

“I've been coming to this Post Office frequently. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I've been trying to leave an experience rating on the Post Office web site but they don't recognize the zip code that's associated with this Post Office.”

“I love this post office! It’s clean, fast, and the service from the staff is amazing. I previously went to the location at 14th and U and the service is terrible there. I walk twice as far to go to this location.”

“Had a wonderful experience at this USPS! Both workers I interacted with were so kind and patient, and very helpful when I wasn’t sure the best way to proceed. Also got everything done fairly quickly, and the line moved fast (I went Saturday morning around 9:10am).”

“Conveniently located in the basement of Union Station, in between the downstairs food court and entrance to the Metro. They were open on a Saturday morning and I was able to drop off a small package.”

“The mail service is mostly ok, but if I get more than one piece of mail in my box it's all crammed in... like folded..bent... crammed in the mailbox. There's no excuse for that!”

“The workers here are incredibly kind and helpful. Despite an overall rude customer base, the workers are purposeful and excellent in their reactions to screaming and rudeness. Workers: 12/10, incredible experience. 0, it seems this location is inappropriately understaffed to a point of detriment to the workers. They shouldn’t have to deal with constant harassment due to clear mismanagement. Customer base: -100/10, rude, inappropriate, and abusive toward workers. Do better.”

“The Longworth House Office Building Post Office is quite simply the best US Post Office I have encountered anywhere. The lines move quickly, the staff is friendly and they always have an abundance of stamps and mailing supplies. Mail is dispatched in the morning and after 4:00 p,m, in the afternoon. Staff will provide a special manual cancellation if you ask for it. The post office is located in the basement of the Longworth Building, but is open to the public. You will have to go through security upon entering the Capitol complex. It is easily reached by tunnel from the Cannon and Rayburn buildings.”

“I like this post office. The lady who works there is very nice, I have never had any mail lost and there is seldom a long line. I also like the selection of greeting cards that they have for sale. I noticed several negative reviews and I felt that I had to add a positive one because my experience here has always been positive. I hope yours will be too. Thanks.”

“I was here Saturday submitting important documents when I was assisted by Marquita A. who was super friendly though she was the only person in that place. I told her to be safe (as it would be nice if there was more safety protocols in place there) and that her service, relatability and energy was definitely something USPS can be proud to have onboard.”

“I'm gonna keep it 100...five years ago, I would've given this location a thumbs down! First off, I wasn't feeling the rude and indifferent customer service. Another pet peeve? A shortage of shipping supplies...never enough labels, tape, or bubble wrap. Ugh! Then the unforeseen happens. Poof! Like magic, this place went from not it to a hit! The changes? Helpful and sweet as pie customer service. I even get a "Hello" with a smile now! Excellent selection of shipping supplies...nice to see bubble wrap and bubble mailers on the shelves these days. FYI: There's also tons of greetings cards and stationery to choose from. Side note: Despite the brouhaha, there's still the occasional long wait in line...not enough staff, maybe? Pro tip: Forget UPS! Mailbox rental fees and shipping services are a lot cheaper at the US Post Office. Special mention: Glass partitions were recently installed...no more close contact between the staff and customers. Quite sure it has something to do with the current coronavirus situation.”
