Hollywood Feed
3460 Sandy Plains Rd Suite 650, MariettaKristen at Hollywood Feed truly goes above and beyond in customer service. She has made several trips of mine to this store memorable, friendly, and goes the extra mile for my cats. She truly makes this store more than just another pet store by ordering specific food brands that may not be on the shelf, and retaining inventory of it too. What really made my day when going in was when she kept a specific flavor of treats that my picky cat loves for her on the side till I arrived here again. Thank you Kristen.

Dog City Bakery
4369 Roswell Rd, MariettaTo the gentleman who showed such kindness when I visited Dog City Bakery this past Tuesday, I want to share with you just how far your kindness goes….I stopped into your store on a whim as I noticed the store from the street. You see, my 15 year old dog was just diagnosed with lymphoma last weekend. We know our time is limited, and I have been spoiling him rotten. I saw your store from the main road and knew I needed to stop. You immediately greeted me with enthusiasm and kindness. If you only knew how heavy my heart has been and how much it was needed. You asked about my boy and what kind of treats he likes as you filled a bag to the rim with special bakery cookies for him. I struggled not to cry as you told me I should bring him next time. I didn’t have the heart to say the health he is in.You brought me frozen yogurts from the back. You helped me pick out the meal toppers without knowing I need them to help stimulate his appetite right now. You gave my sweet boy a big bag of homemade cookies and frozen yogurt for free. You gave us sweet memories as he has enjoyed those frozen yogurts the past two nights. And every time we give him one of those cookies he gobbles them up excitedly.I know you likely do this for all your new customers. But if you only knew just how far your kindness went last Tuesday when I entered your store. My boy is going to enjoy each and every one of these cookies. (He really likes the cheese/bacon and the pumpkin stars!).I will spread the word of your kindness to everyone I know with a furry friend. I hope you know what a blessing you were to me this week. Thank you for providing some light in a week that has felt so very difficult and sad.-Cortney

Mom & Pups
800 Whitlock Ave NW UNIT 104, MariettaI have been buying our dog's food here for close to a decade now. It's always great chatting with the owner, although I can never remember her name, every month or so when I drop in for a huge bag of Victor dog food. I love supporting this locally owned business and appreciate their customer loyalty punch cards. During my most recent visit I let my daughter pick out a Happy Birthday treat and a new collar for Brewer, since it was his birthday! I decided to buy an extra bag of dog food since we had a full loyalty punch card to redeem for a percentage off the purchase. The gal working, not the owner but has been here for years, informed me there was minimal available due to a recent recall on the brand. I was impressed and grateful. I had not heard of the recall and appreciate them being in the know for me. Our vet recently recommended to make the switch to a senior food, and the senior Victor was available. Brewer loved his birthday treat and new collar, and is still loving the new senior food.

Tails Up, Pup
999 Whitlock Ave SW Suite 7, MariettaOne of my favorite places to shop! Such good quality with their sweatshirts and dog bandanas. I have several sweatshirts from them and get a ton of compliments when I wear them. The pups get a bandana from here for every holiday and they always are so adorable and people ask all the time where I get them from. The bandanas do great in the washing machine from my experience which really helps when you have pups that love to get messy!

Pet Supermarket
2100 Roswell Rd Ste 2152, MariettaI've been going to this pet store for several years, primarily for dog self-wash, and it's set itself apart from the rest. Having explored numerous self-wash options for my dog, who is of a unique build with a long body and short legs, it's challenging to find a comfortable bathing solution that caters to his needs, especially as he's gotten older. The metal bathing stations we've encountered elsewhere made bath time a daunting experience for him, leading to a fear of baths. This all changed when we discovered this pet store, which features stone stairs leading up to each bathing station, with the basins themselves also stone. This thoughtful design made all the difference for my dog, making it easier for him to access the baths and feel stable despite his physical limitations. He's back to being excited about bath time, a testament to how comfortable and accommodating these facilities are. What stands out, aside from the pet-friendly infrastructure, is the overall experience. Bringing my own soap/products is never an issue, and I've never felt rushed or had trouble accessing a station, even during busier times. The ease of use with the nozzle's on/off switch is a small but significant detail, allowing for a smooth bathing process. Checkout is always swift, yet personable. For anyone seeking a stress-free, accommodating environment for washing their pets, I can't recommend this pet store enough. My dog's renewed enthusiasm for baths (and my good back) speaks volumes, and for that, we're both incredibly grateful.

Lassiter Animal Hospital
2960 Johnson Ferry Rd, MariettaI’ve taken my pets to Lassiter Animal Hospital for over 20 years and have never been let down. My most recent experience is what led to this review. The entire team at Lassiter Animal Hospital is truly incredible. They literally saved my dog’s life by performing a life saving splenectomy. During which they cared for him (and me) with the utmost compassion and empathy. They have also been a part of several end of life decisions over the years. This is one of the toughest decisions a pet parent can make but the staff at Lassiter Animal Hospital know how to make it as peaceful as possible. I am so grateful for every single staff member at this establishment and will continue to trust them with the care of my babies. Thank you to all the Vets, vet techs, front desk staff, and everyone else at Lassiter Animal that works behind the scenes. You are so very appreciated.

He also makes you feel secure that your pet is in good hands. 407 Fraiser St.SE, MariettaI 100% recommend Jeff for any needs that you may have with your furry loved one. My little Aussie/Border Collie mix Layla needed some help with manners and anxiety she is extremely high strung, and I love in a town house with no yard, not to mention she didn’t listen very well… and I was to the point that I was going to rehome her, but I loved her very much!! I was at Dog City Bakery get food and some chews and asked if they knew of any trainers in the area, He gave me 2 cards, the first one I called was Jeff, He showed up and was all business right from the start and to my Layla obeyed him right from the start. Jeff did an amazing job helping me get him to a place where she can make smarter decisions and be the confident little lady, I knew she could be. Honestly, I probably needed more training than Layla, but we won’t talk about that!!!Jeff did an amazing job for 8 visits now it’s on me to work with her on a regular basis!!If you’re looking for a trainer, look no further. You won’t regret it!

Barking Hound Village Marietta
2566 E Piedmont Rd, MariettaOMG, y’all! This is the BEST place to take your pet! I needed boarding services on very short notice and they worked with me to make sure I had a safe place to board our sweet little dog. They require a day of free daycare, before you board with them the first time, so they can see your pet’s temperament around other dogs. So, keep that in mind if you’re a new customer who needs boarding. Everyday that my hairy human is in their care, I get a report card of at least one of her outings. I had no idea they did this but I absolutely love it! We also had a personalized “Welcome” greeting the first day we boarded with them! It was such a sweet, personal touch that made me feel like we were special clients! The staff seem to love their jobs and that makes me feel more at ease leaving such an important member of my family in their care. I would definitely recommend using their boarding services to anyone!

1100 Johnson Ferry Rd Suite 225, MariettaWhats the difference between NY Pizza and NJ Pizza??? My husband googled it while we went in and ordered pizza to go. Our first bite of Carlo's Pizza was at Taste of East. Cobb. Delicious! We decided we wanted pizza after a t-ball game at Johnson Ferry Baptist. Instead of driving all the way to Sandy Plains and Rosa's...we went to Carlo's. First impression, it's smaller so more "to go business". But they have a mini-arcade game while you wait. We ordered large half cheese and half pepperoni and a salad. The pizza was HUGE!!!!!! And quite good. We loved the story of Carlo's. It's nice to see that family business can thrive amongst larger chain restaurants. Happy to report we will definitely order from Carlo's more often now.
