New Chubbies Store Opening at Minnesota's Mall of America

Minnesotans will have a new summer wardrobe option! Chubbies, a casual menswear brand popular for its patterned shorts and swimsuits, is opening its first Midwest store at the Mall of America in Bloomington.

If you're not familiar with Chubbies - it is a lifestyle apparel brand best known for its signature shorts, swim trunks, polos, and other casual clothing for men, boys, and toddlers. Their collections come in bold prints and bright colors across a wide range of sizes.

"Our customer base continues to grow across the Midwest, and this is our opportunity to meet them where they're at. We aim to deliver an environment where customers can explore, interact, and love our products while having a memorable experience," said Kent Collins, Chubbies' Vice President of Owned Retail.

The Mall of America, with its more than 520 stores, seems like a perfect location for Chubbies to open its first store in the Midwest. According to the mall, Chubbies will open on Level 1 South this summer.

"Chubbies is an exceptional first-to-market addition to Mall of America, and we are thrilled for them to open their doors," stated Carrie Charleston, Mall of America's Vice President of Leasing. "Guests are guaranteed a fun and playful shopping experience as they elevate their wardrobe with a fresh spin on menswear trends."

The store will have more than just vacation vibes at reasonable prices – Chubbies cooperated with Foundation 43, a nonprofit partner that works to expand access to mental health care services. So a portion of every purchase goes for the good.

Loc8nearme, citing Fox9, announced on their Facebook page that Mall of America will get another trendy clothing brand called Edikted. This will be the third Edikted store – the brand gained much popularity on TikTok and with Gen Z in general.
