Just Food For Dogs
Inside Pet Food Express, 1095 Monroe St, AlbanyToday was my new puppy and mines FIRST time using the Pet Wash station at this location and I just want to start by saying the customer Service I received today from Ashley was one for the books. She helped me figure out the shampoo and water hoses. My dog was new to the whole bath situation so he was acting a bit naughty and she came right to my rescue with treats in hand and entertained him so I could finish his bath. She was beyond helpful and just so friendly and nice. I will now be making this my new " home " pet wash place and hope to see her again. Really happy with the service I received today. If I could give 10 stars I would . Thank you again! I hope this review gets seen! She deserves a lot of credit. At least this old lady thinks so!

Pet Food Express
1095 Monroe St, AlbanyI have 2 guinea pigs and a chihuahua so I love going to these stores to grab what I need fast. Every now and then they may be out of a specific flavor but there are usually plenty of options so I still can get what I need.

Pet Grooming
Kutz For Mutz Dog Grooming
924 San Pablo Ave, AlbanyOwner is great, communicates and actually takes the time to get to know you and your pet. Great location and the prices are fair, they do an amazing job making sure your pet looks the way you want. Employees are very nice and go above and beyond for you and your pet. I really like that they take their time and are not rushing to just push pets in and out like a factory.

Pet Care
Codornices Veterinary Clinic
944 San Pablo Ave, AlbanyWe are new client's of Dr. Andrew Lie. Upon our visit we were greeted on time by the staff and promptly seen. I really felt comfortable knowing he wasn't trying to force treatments or procedures that other veterinary clinics have done for wellness services upon us. He has a very caring nature with my pup and my pup felt very comfortable with both him and his staff. We look forward to seeing Dr. Lie and staff again as needed. Keep up the great work!

Pet-Friendly Restaurants
310 Eatery- LA Style Street Food
747 San Pablo Ave, AlbanyThe food is creative and delicious! Dad and mom work the front of the restaurant and they are absolute gems: attentive, friendly and they make the dining experience special and fun. The food options were tantalizing and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back! The experience would be even better if the interior looked more like earlier photos (less cluttered and more stylish).Vegetarian options: There are some options available.Parking: No dedicated parking, street parking only.

Flora & Ferment
1122 Solano Ave, AlbanyNot sure how I always past this place on Solano Ave but glad we finally got to check inside. I loved the varieties of cider they have on tap and lots to choose from in their refrigerated section as well. They have such cute place with plants decorated everywhere that you can even purchase! The service as super friendly and love how they are also dog friendly. They also do have special nights like game nights and would love to check that out! Will for sure be back again

BUA THAI KITCHEN
1045 San Pablo Ave, AlbanyThe food was very good and reasonably priced. Large menu was a plus. There was a loop of songs that was evidently about 30 minutes long, because we heard the same songs three times during the course of our meal. I suggest they change that. Overall, however, I would recommend this restaurant

Highwire Coffee Roasters
at Flowerland, 1330 Solano Ave, AlbanyThe iced mocha here is sorcery. Tastes like straight smooth and rich chocolate milk, but it kept me wired for several hours lol. Respectably really strong. Overall wished that there was a distinct coffee to the mocha but I'm still a fan. Don't underestimate this coffee shop trailer! Chill and friendly staff. A few small tables right in front of the trailer but can enjoy your drink while perusing Flowerland Nursery here.

Tacos El Autlense
601 San Pablo Ave #2, AlbanyThis place is good. The last time I went it was for the tacos in 2013. I'm back in the area and I had a really sad experience at Chipotle the past week so I tried the carne asada burrito. I'm glad I returned; this place was quick to serve up on a lunch break and the burrito held up while I was enjoying it. It was fresh-tasting, well-proportioned, and, at a great price!

Hal's Office Coffee
1207 Solano Ave, AlbanyWe were passing by this area and decided to stop by. We parked on the street and it was free parking. There's a huge sign so hard to miss. There was a lot of tables and chairs. When you walk in they have their coffee station. On the side there was a tables with lids and straws. It's very small so it's more of a grab and go. It was a little cramped inside but I understand they are working with the space they have. I had an ice vanilla lattes and my husband had a hot vanilla latte. The coffee was really good and strong. It kept me up all day it was really good beans. We overall had a good experience.

Club Mallard

You can enjoy a ‘snake bite’ asked a created by the bartender with care and in good company. This local watering hole is more than one would expect on the path along the bay.

Ocean View Brew Works
627 San Pablo Ave, AlbanyThis brewery is phenomenal. Lots of selection and rotation moves fast. The inside can be tight but the outside there is a space for kids to play and even a spot to reserve a party. Every once in a while they will have a jazz band that plays which is great to enjoy with the family. This brewery will do classics, IPA’s and even some unique beers like a mushroom porter. No matter what though the beer is always quality. The customer service is great and they have trivia nights, game nights, and live music. The only negative I can give this place is the beers are small batch and rotate fast. Once you get used to a beer more then likely it won’t be back which sucks cus they’re all really good. Highly recommend!

Bua Luang Thai Cuisine
1166 Solano Ave, AlbanyFirst time diners. Loved the food, ambience and attitude. Was take-out but we wished we could have dined in. Such a sweet environment! We had the chicken pad Thai, pumpkin curry with pork and corn fritters. The fritters got soggy by the time we got them home but we fixed them in the toaster oven. We WILL be back!

Brown Cap Soft Serve
Francis Street &, Terrace Path, AlbanyI have seen the truck before, but finally got to try Brown Cap because they had kindly stepped up to serve ice cream at a fundraiser event for Street Spirit newspaper. I opted for the brown cap in a cone, twist (vanilla and chocolate swirl) for the flavor, and sea salt. I had the misfortune of accidentally swallowing a huge hunk of salt in my first bite, which actually stung in my throat. But later when I recovered a bit and was able to eat the rest, the chocolate shell was great, and the ice cream itself was sweet and creamy. I did find the salt quantity a bit too high for my preference. But I tried some of my partner's ice cream too, they had ordered the twist in a waffle cone with salted caramel drizzle. I'd say that is a great topping if you have a sweet tooth as it's only lightly salted. Just watch out for melting ice cream dripping down the sides!
