“If you’re in doubt, definitely come here to have your car maintained! I came in early today, around 8.30 am because my car’s AC wasn’t functioning. They found and fixed the issue very quickly, and I really appreciated the clear communication of potential costs, as well as the explanations regarding the potential issues which could pop up. They definitely avoid charging for random services without your consent. There’s a great coffee shop/co-working space just down the street (about 7 minute walk) called Corridor Flow, which was a great place to wait and do some work. A huge thanks to Anthony (manager) and the team for fixing my car’s AC so quickly!”

Honest about what I needed to have done and what could wait. Here comes the part I was not expecting. Compassion, empathy, flexibility and kindness. “I came back to Harbor Tires to get a couple tires mounted by Mario, the onsite technician at Harbor Tires. He was quite busy, so I just dropped off my rims and tires and left. Within a hour or so, Ms. Lupe called me and told me everything was done. She was nice enough to allow me to comeback at the end of day or potentially the weekend. She completely understood that I wasn't close by and how bad traffic is. This neighborhood tire and brake shop has been serving the area for almost 15 years. They understand times are tough, so they have used tires available in most sizes, however there's no warranty on used tires. Mario also offers tire repairs, when it's possible and safe for him to do.”

“Worked on my Aprilia Tuono motorcycle. Granted it was a roll of the dice, and they had to improvise so the quote and the final price was different but I give them lots of credit for taking it on, and being creative in solving the problem. It's risky for a shop to try something new. I don't think most shops would have tried. While I did end up needing additional polishing work from another place, they did a solid job on the tube forming and welding. The owner could have put on a happy face when he realized he would't make as much money from the job as he expected (was a bit immature about it to be honest) I did give him as much leeway as possible (asked him to work on it in-between other projects, so in net-terms they would not loose business due to the extra time required).”
