Pet Food Express
1315 Linda Mar Shopping Center, PacificaEvery time I've gone into the store the staff has been very friendly. This last time I went I had so many questions about using the pet wash station (first timer). Wish I could remember the name of the employee who helped me, she was very patient. Will definitely bring our husky malamute mix back.

Coastal Cat Clinic

A Well Adjusted Pet, Inc.
100 Eureka Dr, PacificaDr.Ilana is amazing. She is the dog whisperer of the bay area for SURE! This is our 2nd time needing her expert help and guidance. The 1 st time - my very active labradoodle dislocated his ankle and was put in a cast for 6 weeks - by an Orthopedist - when we arrived at A Well Adjusted Pets - Charlie was happy to be there - he is a crazy labradoodle with way too much energy for an older dog - but the care and expertise that Dr.Ilana gives is unequalled anywhere else. With e-stim to bring back the muscle tone that he had lost and walking in the water treadmill he re - habbed super fast. Dr. Ilana has healing hands. Charlie has now dislocated his knee on his good back leg - so is getting used to wearing 2 braces - which in two weeks he has fully navigated with Dr. Ilana's help. I don't know where we would be without her help - luckily for us we do have pet insurance which has surely helped with the cost. Do not miss an opportunity to work with Dr.Ilana - she is one of a kind! Your pet will be forever grateful! There is an option other than surgery!! Madeleine and Charlie

AllCare Veterinary Hospital of Pacifica
225 Carmel Ave, PacificaI highly recommend Dr Grossbard. I've been coming here for 5+ years now, and I will not go to any other vet. He is extremely knowledgeable and explains the context of his recommendations while also answering any questions that you can throw at him. AllCare also does not try to upsell you with everything. They only recommend what is fair and needed. If you need a vet, he's the one!

Pet Sitting & Training
The Rex Center, LLC
1040 Palmetto Ave, PacificaThe Rex Center is such a great experience for dogs of all ages and needs for their services. Cant praise them enough :) In our sweet Maddox's situation (14 y/o Golden Retriever), we came to the Rex Center in hopes to help alleviate his severe/chronic arthritis, after his arthritis meds stopped working after 2 years. I shared more on his condition and our solutions below, but ultimately this experience at the Rex Center (IMO) helped extend Maddox's life by 7+ months. Big thank you to Ellen and Robin for your empathetic support, and just overall knowledge and skills, while helping to make Maddox's chronic arthritis livable again. ~~ More context to Maddox's arthritis condition for anyone that may be facing similar challenges -- hope it helps! . Maddox's arthritis meds (Adaquan/carprofen/gabapentin), which had worked great for ~2 years, mostly stopped working in early June 2023. By late June 2023, and about 3 weeks since the meds stopped working, it was to the point that Maddox couldn't get up effectively, or walk on his own; nor could he hold himself up while going to the bathroom. To me at this time, it seemed like something was sprained, whether that was in his paw or around, etc, as he was also regularly knuckling / curling his paw during these 3 weeks. First we got him a X-Ray, it came back as nothing being sprained or broke. Then a MRI with an orthopedic (Marin County), and that all but confirmed Maddox's debilitating arthritis as the singular cause. The orthopedic was even surprised it was only arthritis and nothing more. So after the MRI, he was prescribed prednisone (early July 2023) by the orthopedic. It worked! **This is also when I set up his first swim session with Ellen and the Rex Center ...and this worked too! Mainly, the Rex Center + prednisone was the only solution that provided results. Where once a week, over a few months, Maddox had a swim session at the Rex center. Progressively stabilizing into what came to be a situation where he was playful again, getting up and going to the bathroom on his own strength, and overall about as good as it could be given the circumstances. I can't thank Ellen and Robin enough. On the video and images I shared, those are from the very first session. Maddox got right in, swam great, and overall was relaxed (like a spa day!). Of note, Maddox in his entire 14 year existence NEVER swam too, for whatever reason he hated the water. With Ellen and Robin though, you never would have known. Thanks to the team here again, and I only wish we had Maddox in the water during those 2 years when his arthritis meds worked great. **My recommendation is if your dog has any level of arthritis, the earlier the better, get the pups in that warm water at the Rex Center.

Shamrock Ranch Kennels
100 Shamrock Ranch Rd, PacificaThis may be a strange review as I have never used Shamrock Ranch Kennels! However, this is a big shout out to Lisa Rhodes who is the trainer. Even though I have not stepped foot on the property, nor my rescue puppy, she emailed me and supported me through such a difficult process of... do I keep her....or do I surrender her to another family? This full blast puppy has severe separation anxiety which is rough as leaving her alone at home was not happening, she literally panics. Lisa, kindly, patiently has emailed me and talked on the phone with me at great lengths even though I am not a client. What a kind and wonderful woman! Who does this anymore? I am so grateful toher. We are still not sure how we will proceed, but if we keep this puppy, she will be at Shamrock Ranch with Lisa. Just knowing the magnitude of her gracious heart is enough for me to move forward.

David's Bagels
1926 Palmetto Ave, PacificaI'm a yarn buff whose hunger cues really don't alert me until it's far too late, so after stopping at the Royal Bee just next door for a few supplies, I found myself standing in front of David's desperate for a bite. Their bagels are great value, they stuff that sucker with cream cheese, and their cappuccino was on point! They have a La Marzocco machine for espresso drinks. Service was prompt, straightforward, and friendly. One small suggestion would be to salt the salt bagels a tiny bit less, but that's personal preference! Will be back the next time I stop in for yarn :)

Cafe Pacifica
1821 Palmetto Ave, PacificaLovely cafe near the beach in Pacifica with a great patio giving you the choice of inside or outside dining. They have a bathroom that's always clean - I've been coming for years. Staff and the owner are very kind and get your order out quick. They make one of the best London Fogs in the city (called Pacifica Fog on their menu). Most baristas will go the easy route of brewing the tea in half a cup of hot water and pour milk for the remainder; not Cafe Pacifica! They make it the correct way by steaming your choice of milk and allowing the tea to brew in it. Not to mention, their bagels are amazing and made how you would at home - fully indulgent with lots of cream cheese.
