“This place has very quickly become one of my favorite places to eat in the area PERIOD. The sandwich variety and quality is amazing. They’re more expensive than what I’m used to for a sandwich (I’m not from NYC), but as soon as you take a bite, you get it. I always forget to take a photo when I go here because I am so focused on eating! Portion size is large, and I usually eat one sandwich over two meals. Staff make excellent recommendations, are genuine, and usually offer a free sample of whatever they’ve just made, which is a very nice touch. Their house vodka sauce is delicious. They also make fresh pasta, and I’ve enjoyed their gnocchi. Will be back again and again and again.”

“I give 4 stars and it is because of the food, I did not like at all the treatment that a specific employee gave us, I went with my partner and from the moment they sat us at the table we got the impression that no one wanted to serve us, if there were not It was because of a very kind lady who took care of us, we would have stopped and left the restaurant, after a while we ran out of what we had ordered to drink and we couldn't find the lady who took our order so we We asked another employee, the employee approached us, we asked him what we wanted, he looked at us badly and then he left, if it hadn't been for the fact that I suddenly saw and called the lady from the beginning to order it with her, the other person didn't We would have brought nothing to the table, a shame really because the food was very good & the truth is if it hadn't been for that lady this review would have been even worse”

“Really good quality produce, meats, and deli department. Some dairy and grocery items are priced toward the high end of the "competitive" range, but that's the price of convenience. The previous place left a void when it closed, so it's great to have an even better neighborhood supermarket fill that void.Unfortunately, there has been an increase in thefts recently and Marino's has had to create a new policy: no using your own bags to shop (use their baskets instead), and no "granny carts" at all. It's inconvenient, but we can't blame the store or its employees; they're simply reacting to a sad reality. Two thumbs down for the thieves who have made the new rule necessary.Meanwhile, we should keep supporting a local business that has served the community well.”

No one told you to open 200 indian stores on hillside and then expect everyone to come to your store. So stop fosting negative reviews that are not true about this store and workers. They have always been good to everyone who goes there. Their meat products are excellent!”

“I always find whatever i need here. Their meat is high quality and halal. I would recommend others to shop here. Their store doesn't look the most appealing but they have been serving the community for years and their staff is friendly and helpful. People who complain about them not being “clean” have not been to other shops around NYC, and are the same people who will eat mcdonalds. This is my favorite store to shop at in jackson heights”

“Lovely neighborhood market in Astoria. The produce covered all the usual fruits and vegetables, seemed fresh, and was a good price. I've personally been hunting for certain whole spices in NYC for a couple weeks, and I finally got cardamom pods, all spice, and star anise! It was a good price compared to other specialty groceries I've visited in Manhattan. I also got some cool goodies like pomegranate molasses. There is a huge selection of olive oil, olives, and a halal butcher in the back. The grocery store was clean inside and smelled deliciously of salted olives and other spices. The line moved a bit slowly, but the staff were friendly and helpful if you ask them to help you check prices (which aren't always posted clearly or labeled)”
