“This place has a cozy environment, very reasonably priced goods, and makes you feel very welcome. The best part is the community events hosted by Eleanor’s that bring in the kindest, friendliest people. I can not recommend this place enough, it’s a little slice of heaven”
“What can I say? I think I know all of the employees. Everyone there is super helpful and really efficient at their job. And knowledgeable. I buy the same thing every time over and over and over. But while in the store buying my same thing, I see them help. All kinds of people. I see them help bar and restaurant owners put dozens of bottles in their cars. I've seen them look up a limited bottle of scotch for a connoisseur and tell them where they can buy the closest. These people are retail workers but not so much like others. I think a little bit of profit sharing should be included with the employees. The state of Virginia makes an exorbitant amount of money off of alcohol sales every year. And these sales would not happen if not for the retail agents, Am I right?”

“They sell liquor. So really not much to say. It's a small store and the selection isn't as good as some of the larger stores. But the tequila section has enough of a selection for me. It's also the most convenient to my house. So that helps with my patronage.”

“07/15/23 This store has opened after it was remodeled a few months back. It is so much bigger and nicer than before. Updated flooring, shelving, and checkouts. It really came out nice.Stays open until 10 most days. 7 on Sundays. I think it is the latest opened ABC in many miles. Staff is super cool, and helpful. 5 stars!”

“After checking out Naval Station Norfolk, my boyfriend and I checked out the Norfolk Main Navy Exchange (NEX). If you've never been, it's like a department store! They sell everything from clothing and accessories (including hats, scarves, jewelry, handbags), electronics, cookware, seasonal decorations (including christmas trees and nutcrackers), and more. My boyfriend was in search of a beanie while I was in search of a cool-looking Navy shirt. We found a nice beanie but not a cool-looking Navy shirt. However, I'll admit that the Hard Rock Cafe Navy hat was kind of cool!”

“We came in late not realizing it was so near closing time. We felt they were glad to wait on us and even told us not to hurry. It was so nice to go somewhere we really felt welcomed and the staff was glad to serve us. The food was excellent as usual. The crew that was working late on 3/7 deserve praise from their bosses. This is a crew that is very polite, and make people want to return.”

“This is the best harris teeter in all of Virginia. My boyfriend is from italy and we are living off all the italian foods he finds. ?Pasta, meats, and so on. I would recommend this store because it has a greater international range. The food we are getting, he can find in Italy.The Harris teeter near my house doesn't have the variety. Shop here if you want a wider range. If you're looking for real italian brands, the ones I have posted are and can be found here!”
“I like to go in here and get a lot of essentials that I can't get elsewhere at a good price. One thing that I always know I can get here is tuna fish in oil and it's always at a great price. They usually always have cilantro on hand as well.”

“We became Pendulum CSA (meat and wine) members during COVID and so glad we did because they are awesome! Everyone is so friendly and helpful! Their meats are top quality and they have a large variety of cuts you won't see in the grocery store. We love their sausages and have not been disappointed. During the day they have sandwich's that are so delish! So this is a butcher shop, that sells sandwich's, wine, beer, desserts, breads, pizza dough, fresh mozz, and snacks. It's a super fun shop that you can eat in. It's the first floor of the owners house, so the whole shop has a fun, home like feel! You will not be disappointed, I promise !”
