“I don't often leave online reviews and instead prefer sharing my recommendations by word of mouth. However in this case, I need to reach a larger population and sing the praises of Heritage Financial Strategies. In 2016, I was in turmoil as my two previous financial planners had been disappointing disasters. I needed someone who was honest and easy to talk with, someone who understood the markets and my needs, and who didn't try to fit me into a box. Equally important, I needed someone who didn't intimidate me with "Financialese." By chance, I attended a program led by a local attorney, and at the end I asked if she could recommend a good financial planner. She said "Gladly," and tucked Shanna Tingom's business card into my hand. I made a phone call and was able to talk with Shanna immediately. I told her about the life change I was going through and how I needed help with the whole pie: Insurance, medical, vehicle, home, investments, potential retirement, long term care, taxes, estate planning, income, quality of life. Well, I was knocked off my chair. She took time and put my mind at ease. She explained that, although she knew about most of these things, there were some where she would need to point me to someone else whom she knew and trusted. She laughed and said over the next months she would become my new "best friend," and boy, did she deliver. Not only passionate about the financial world and how it works, Shanna is honest and reliable. She is an expert in her field and cares about the little guy. She is always ready to answer my questions in words that I understand. She truly wants the best situation for her clients. Her company has grown these past years, but it has not changed its vision. She selects her employees with care and ensures that they are the best fit. I couldn't have made a better choice. Seven years later, I know that selecting Shanna and Heritage Financial Strategies was one of my best decisions.”
