Hours: People For a Healthy Community (PHC) is a community based, not for profit, organization serving Gabriola Island. We support individuals and families during vulnerable times in their lives while strengthening community resilience. Vulnerability can occur at any stage of life, in an acute or chronic way. Our programs focus on three key social determinants of health: IMPROVING FOOD SECURITY REDUCING SOCIAL ISOLATION SUPPORTING ACADEMIC SUCCESS 25 years ago, People for a Healthy Community on Gabriola Society became a registered charity and has remained Gabriola Island's only social service agency. ​ PHC programs and services have touched 1 in 7 Gabriola residents.
