I had a very positive experience at the check out, thanks to an employee named “Peterson”. He was courteous, competent, answered my questions regarding exchanges and refunds, and moved at lightning speed to scan items. His knowledge about the stock was helpful. He was friendly and it was a breath of fresh air by comparison to the norm. I greatly appreciate this level of professionalism. Thank you. ✨”

“There are no clothes for girls aged 11 and 12 at all. Many times I came with my daughter and left without shopping, since there were no jackets, trousers, or tracksuits for her age. I hope the situation with children's clothing will change for the better. And if you have children from 3 months to approximately 9 years old, there are a lot of beautiful and varied clothes for every taste.”

“Fraser in the parts department is excellent, and deserves to be recognized for it! He honestly should be leading others on customer service practices, including the store manager.Upon a recent visit for a motomaster car battery warranty exchange/return, I was provided a new battery that was defective, and tested defective. The store manager indicated that he cannot now sell the new defective battery to someone else, despite me not even being able to drive away from the parking lot due to the very battery they just sold me. After some lengthy discussion, and Fraser’s help, the manager was able to appreciate that Canadian Tire just sold me a defective product and the right thing to do was to swap it for a working one. (I suspect it had been sitting on the shelf for an extended duration and the charge ran very low).Regardless, Fraser’s customer service was truly what made the otherwise very long & frustrating experience much more tolerable.We need more people in the world like Fraser. Thank you for the excellent service!Also, Zack in the auto service department helped out and clearly knows his stuff! Thanks Zack.Pro tip: Insist they test your new battery prior to leaving the store at Canadian Tire. It may just save you a few hours of your Saturday!”

“A super store with everything you need for the best prices.Honestly compared to most other stores you'll find it hard to beat Walmart prices. They are able to provide deals and value and it's hard to beat. Maybe if you optimize Costco you might be able to get better.This super store has everything you might need and more and I often go here whenever I go to Woodgrove.Of course, with Walmart it's always busy and very popular and can cause delays, human interaction and errors. The customer service stand here has always delivered excellent help and the tenured managers are all stars.The biggest issue is Walmart has high turn over and creates a gap in worker experience and overall potential experience of the average shopper. Additionally due to its popularity it can attract less than desirable people in store but nowadays that's a hard thing to avoid in Nanaimo.I often order delivered groceries from this store. It has been a high variance. When it's good; it's great. Top quality picked food, timely delivery, occasionally even free walmart bags and a smile. When it's bad, it's chaos. Misplaced items, missing bags, wrong orders included in my own, and sometimes a cat and mouse with Walmart help and the store itself.Recently I had an ordeal of finding an order that was delivered but never came to my home. Turned out a door Dasher dashed away with my groceries. While this was devastating, annoying and very in convenient the tenured manager who's been worker there for 20+ years stepped up and knocked it out of the park. Resolved the issue, got me my groceries, and personally delivered them with a smile. All this on New Year's Eve. While the whole ordeal could've been avoided by better policies or perhaps delivery options. I appreciate management taking action in a positive way.Overall, good prices, good product, good managers, and a need for better baseline workers (pay them more maybe? Honestly pay us all more)”
