“This is the best Board Games store I have ever been in... especially since it moved locations in the mall to a larger space. The owner is amazing... he always takes the time to see what you are looking for and reccomend something for you from the thousands and thousands of games he has in the store... seriously if you can think of a game he probably stocks it or will order it in for you! He also knows the rules or overviews of most the games he has and will gladly walk you through a game or teach you the rules of one of the "try before you buy" games (there are almost as many open box games you can sit and play there in the store as games he has for sale!!! This place is amazing! There are always collectible card game tournaments going on and always room for a bit of board gaming in the store too... so stop by and check out this amazing store!”

“Brought my son and his malfunctioning Traxxas RC car into Burnaby Hobbies and Dave diagnosed and fixed it in under 5 minutes! He wouldn’t let me pay for the repair either. I bought an extra battery for the RC car. I’m happy to support a local business instead of patronizing Amazon, especially since Amazon can’t do what Dave did. Thank you, Dave, and we will be back!”

“I brought my son ( who wears hearing aids) in the store after photos with Santa today and we were greeted very nicely by the staff. Before leaving the store, a staff member named Susan came to us and gave us a Lego man with hearing aids and talked with us about my son, his aids and prematurity (he was born at 24 weeks). She is such a lovely person and amazing asset to their team. Her kindness and inclusivity really touched our hearts, especially when we receive some very unkind comments about his hearing aids in public sometimes.Thank you Susan for your kindness and conversation. ”

“In the past, whenever we visited this store, we often felt disappointed because the shelves were usually empty. It could be because we usually went at night when they hadn't restocked from the day.However, today's experience was a delightful surprise. Despite the busy Boxing Day sales, the store had a satisfying amount of items in stock. It was truly wonderful to be able to shop here and find many things we wanted, even during such a major sale event.We want to give special recognition to Ben, the manager, for providing exceptional service. His friendly and welcoming attitude played a big role in making our shopping experience a happy one.We left the store with a lot of toys and a feeling of happiness.”

“Mind Games is not just the go-to toys store for kids, but also for adults as well. There are board games based off movies, shows and video games, toys of all ages including collectables and attractive stuffed animals. How this store is decorated with their merchandise is very appealing to the eye. They also sell trading cards behind the counter by the packs. Now I give this store a 5-star rating, due to the fact that they sold the One Piece trading cards there, where as every other store that sold trading cards did not carry them. I managed to buy the last few packs they had in stock too. Now I highly recommend this store for all your holiday, birthday or other toy related shopping.”

“Decent prices and selection, and Canadian, a bonus for folks in Canada weary of exploitive cross border brokerage fees.Buyer be aware that there is a 10% "processing fee" if you choose to cancel a preorder, as it's buried in the fine print. I recommend that the store implement a clearly defined and communicated non-refundable deposit for preorders instead.”

“Overall decent shop. Candy seemed fairly fresh except for maybe the marshmallow candies(never had them before so not sure what texture they are supposed to be but they weren't soft). The most frustrating thing was the bulk candy isn't bulk it is all in bags already. I wanted more mix and match variety! Three of the bags was roughly 11 dollars so not super cheap but not horrible, just wished I could have had better variety!”

My first time at this location (previously only been to Chilliwack location) and although they were having computer troubles this morning and warned us there could be a long wait, it was finished earlier than predicted and I walked away with a very nice sized paycheck.
