“Sabrina was our realtor for the sale of my mom’s house right after she moved to a retirement home. We live in the Bay Area, so we needed a realtor with experience working with remote sellers. We researched Chico realtors and identified Sabrina and one other that looked like good fits. From the first phone call with Sabrina, we were impressed with her expertise and approach. During our interview with her at my mom’s house, it was clear she was familiar with the neighborhood; the house style, age, and likely quirks; and the current state of the Chico real estate market. We immediately hired her after the interview.Starting during the interview and evolving over the next couple weeks, Sabrina developed and refined a strategy for getting the house ready to put on the market. She clearly articulated to us the benefits of getting the house on the market quickly to take advantage of current market conditions and advised us on how we could help with this, which led us to focus on expeditiously removing items from the house that we wanted to keep. After we had removed these things, she took over and was like a general contractor in getting things done. She first arranged for all the remaining items in the house (furniture, antiques, clothes, kitchenware, wall art, junk, etc) to be sold, donated, or disposed. FIVE days after we had finished our part, she had the house empty! We were amazed by this. We were especially impressed that she sought out Chico people truly in need, to receive donations of clothes, bedding, kitchen items, and office items that could be used as school supplies. After the house was empty, Sabrina then turned to efficiently doing repairs, cleaning, and refreshing that were just right for making the house shine. She gave us recommendations about what work in the house she felt was beneficial, what work was probably not worth it, and specifics of the work such as paint color, degree of deep cleaning needed, and how extensively to refinish the floors. All these recommendations were well thought out and tailored to our situation and the house itself, and we agreed with them.In about one month from the day we hired Sabrina, the house was on the market, with gorgeous website photographs that really showcased the house and yard beautifully. Sabrina did several showings and open houses, and one week after it was listed we had an offer that was very good and that we accepted. Then 20 days later we closed. This fast timeframe is a testament to Sabrina’s incredibly hard work, her deep network of people who respond quickly to get things done at her listings, and her extensive expertise in bringing all the pieces together to get the house listed and then sold. This sale of my mom’s house was totally painless for us, all because of Sabrina!We especially would like to commend Sabrina’s superb communication skills– not only is she super responsive day and night, but she also has an excellent ability to explain complex real estate matters and to clearly articulate everything involved in selling a house, to people like us who have never done this.
