I had some business with them today and was really impressed, this is how I wish all banks are, excellent staff, very well trained ,experienced,clean, fast service, friendly. Keep doing what your doing. Maybe I need to start banking with them again? Very impressive (Smile)”

“Benjamin and April are very helpful. Even the other employees were very nice because I was able to listen to their interactions with employees. No drama a few times I have been here. Easy access to the highway and on a main artery in Marina. Easy parking too. They have ATMs inside and outside. The place is really wide inside. They have a waiting area if you wanna sit. Both my wife and I had positive interactions with employees here.”

“This is my preferred Safeway in the area. I love the self checkout lines, the store is clean, including the bathrooms. The shelves aren't always stocked the greatest, and it is hard to find a staff person. But it seems to be the cleanest and calmest Safeway in the area. I just wish they had self checkout lines open earlier and later, I do a lot of my shopping at target because Safeway limits when they're self checkout lines are open.”

“I was the trustee of my aunt and uncle's estate in Carmel and Chase Bank in Carmel was recommended to me by my Monterey lawyer, particularly private client banker Issy Johnson. Issy and I had to work together through a great many complicated trust-related banking matters. Issy, and Chase Bank, were excellent. Issy was incredible -- caring, skillful, knowledgeable, persistent, friendly -- I couldn't have done it without her. She even came in on her day off to help me out when deadlines were tight! In my many responsibilities as trustee in the Monterey Bay Area I met some real scoundrels, and some real gems. Issy was one hundred percent in the gem category! Thank you, Issy!”

“Wells Fargo bank is a typical California bank, so not much to say there. However, this location in Monterey is truly unique. Made from a restored church, the exterior doesn't look like a bank at all, and when you enter, the tall ceiling and other fixtures they preserved are beautiful. Makes you want to have a reason to just go in and check on your account!”

“I need to commend this bank's employees for their service. A care taker for an older lady tried instigating a riot because the only teller was taking too long. The care taker went on and on about how they should bring in more people even after the teller told her the other teller was on lunch. Finally another teller (who they either had to pull from lunch, or telling was not this person's job) shows up. It a Friday after pay day and people are really expecting to spend less than 15 minutes at a bank? What a joke. Realize where you are people, this is a bank not McDonald's.”

“Seaside Branch Manager Hai Tran is a gem and deserves recognition. We are long-term BofA customers who have seen the contraction of staff and the apparent disregard of top management deteriorate over the years. BUT ... last week when I was calling around to find a safety deposit box (and 7 branches had failed to even pick up the phone!! - not even pick up the phone) Hai Tran picked up the phone, talked to me in real-time, and set up an appointment for the next morning. The next morning, as scheduled, he assigned competent staff to help me and the task was done right, the first time, less than 24 hours after my call. We appreciate that.”
