“CVVH has been our vet clinic for over a decade because of their highly skilled doctors, technicians and front desk staff. Most importantly, every professional at this facility is so caring not only for the pets but for the family of said pets. I trust everyone working at CVVH because they have been consistent and reliable as excellent care givers to each of my pets over a decade. If I could, I would give them a 10 star rating out of 5 stars because they go above and beyond with all the creatures under their care.”

“I never leave reviews but I had to for this veterinarian office because I had such a good experience. I took my duck in for a swollen foot and was worried that I would have to wait a long time and spend a bunch of money since she is considered exotic, boy was I wrong. I made an appointment the day before and only waited about 15 mins when I arrived. The staff was SUPER friendly and understanding. I didn’t feel like I was pushed any procedures and I felt very comfortable. Every single person i talked to really seemed liked they loved their jobs and it shows!!! I highly HIGHLY recommend this office! 10/10, 5 stars. I will be using this vet office for all my pets now.”

Also lab results were available in day or two and sent to me with interpretation.
Clinic is very clean, no odor. Exam room large and curious pet out of carrier roamed around.

“With a new dog, we needed a new Vet. After a thorough study of hundreds of reviews, we settled on Berkeley Pet Hospital and were offered a same day appointment.
The front desk was friendly and made eye contact, even though she was very busy. Thank you Vidi! Dr. Park listened with true interest and together we agreed upon a treatment plan which included medication and diet changes. All agreed upon tests were performed and a comprehensive summary of the visit was sent to my phone.
Communication from all employees and Dr. Park was superb and I am confident to have made the right decision for my dog.”
“Unfortunately, this was not a good experience. We arrived on time for the appointment and were taken back to the treatment room, but then were not seen, while other pets were seen. When I checked back in with the front desk, they appeared to not know who we were, when our appointment was, or when or if we would be seen. Bad all around.
UPDATE: This issue was promptly--and graciously--resolved with a follow up appointment the following day and free exam. It is refreshing for a veterinary practice to acknowledge and address a concern so quickly and directly. We will be returning.”

“The care for my most recent visit was really good. I brought my very fearful pup in a stroller. Even though she was sedated she was shaking. The tech accommodated us and even took my pup in the stroller into the back to receive services. When I returned an hour later... she was laying down calmly. Huge progress! Every one is great. I need to get the names of the reception folks they are great too. I don't remember the name of the tech this last time she was great too. My dog Ethel was the calmest I've seen her at the vet. What I appreciated most is empathy.”

“My border collie had a sore on his nose for years. My regular vet couldn’t figure it out. Finally, we came here and this vet took one look at my dog and immediately said it’s lupus, very common with border collies. He’s on meds now that cleared it up. Great vet!”

“Brought in two dogs in for a spay and neuter. I asked Dr Vasquez if the incision was going to be large on my female because my dog had gained weight and was pretty rotund and I was worried that she would have a ten inch incision like my last dog. He immediately answered: “the incision will be appropriate for the surgery”. A very smart answer!
The incision ended up being really small, like less than two inches in my 35 lb dog. The office is modern and bright, exceptionally clean, and the team there is courteous, excellent and the office is efficiently run. Had to wait for check in and pick up but had an interesting time chatting with the other clients and their pets.”

“Coming from our last place this vet is SO much more convenient in terms of travel time and cost. The time taken with our cats (attention to detail, helpful information, tips, answers to questions) were very much appreciated, and while we weren’t there for an overly long amount of time, it felt like a very complete visit with an exceedingly competent staff. Both the techs and Dr Afshar handled our cats with care and skill, and we were given very helpful information on how to handle the weight gain of our chunkier-than-ideal cat who is already an active girl.
A sign that makes me excited to continue coming back to this vet was how they recommended brushing our cats’ teeth—sounds silly but our previous vet didn’t mention it at all and we weren’t aware it was a thing (we learn something new every day!)—and this to me, shows that they aren’t just there to get the payment of future dental cleanings, but actually care about our cats’ overall wellbeing.
The exam room was also exceedingly adorable, the purple platforms on the wall for cats to jump up on really delighted me, and even though our cats weren’t exactly in a jumping mood, they did seem to at least tolerate (if not enjoy) being put up there while we waited between providers coming in.”
“I’m incredibly grateful for the kindness and compassion the veterinary team showed to my Pacman frog, Pika, during his care. They went above and beyond for him and treated him with so much patience, gentleness, and genuine care.
Losing a beloved pet is never easy, but having people who truly care about you and your pet makes such a difference. I felt that compassion every step of the way, and I appreciate them more than I can put into words.

“Dr. Ancu has been our vet for over 10 years. Both Dr. Ancu and his staff have always been professional and courteous while attending to our pets. He always takes the time to call to explain current status or any treatment(s) our pets may need, as well as, costs involved.”
“Took the dog in. They were able to squeeze her in fairly quickly for some paw trouble and other minor concerns we had. Polite staff and the building was very clean. The doctor was very good with our dog despite her not being the most cooperative.”

He suggested X-rays which showed different issues with one of my cats. He was very thoughtful in his explanation and called me twice, after business hours, just to take questions. I really appreciate the compassion and kindness with us as we tried to digest the news of CKD on our cat.”
