A little on the high end for food. A small place with nice atmosphere. Didn't have my Chivas scotch though.

Other Information
About the restaurant & décor: Located a few blocks north of downtown Laguna Beach, this second-story corner venue provides locals with a chic yet unpretentious hideaway from the city's tourist-fueled bustle. The near-industrial wood and earth-toned interior is approachable, but we like waiting for a patio seat to catch the water-kissed sunset, especially with a cocktail in hand.Food & Drinks: Executive chef Chris Mahler pairs the unfussy ambience with contemporary California cuisine that evokes comforting familiarity with each course. Kick things off with crispy duck drums in a sweet citrus glaze or a house-made ceviche with avocado mousse, or split a classic chopped salad with almonds, tomato, bacon and egg with the table. Mains include standards such as filet mignon and roasted Chilean sea bass along with easygoing fare like buttermilk fried chicken with mashed potatoes and thyme gravy. Desserts are highlighted by house-made doughnuts and ice cream topped by a bourbon caramel drizzle. California selections dominate the compact wine list, which features plenty of by-the-glass selections. On Sundays, patrons can drop by for brunch items like Belgian waffles and huevos rancheros.
