“As a long time friend of Fransisco I got great service. I had one problem when I went to get rotors for my car. He told me I needed new in the front and said the rear were shot to and needed replacement so I let him do the front with new brakes. I got a second opinion about the rear rotors and was told by Honda the rear rotors were fine and didn't need replacement. At that time I noticed my brand new front rotors were shaking the car when braking so I took it back to get them replaced and Fransisco replaced them. With the new set I thought I was good but no these were warped to and they were not cheap so I took them back and he got in my face and told me I can get a refund if I want and that I can fix them myself. So I opted for a refund and he only gave me some of my money back saying he doesn't refund labor! So with the amount he refunded me I couldn't afford to replace the rotors and was only able to get the brakes replaced which I gave the old ones back to him so he could get a refund from the seller. I don't know why this situation happened but it was the last time I went to him for a service. Oh and the rotors I was able to get them resurfaced at CARAMINAS TIRE for $120 which fixed the warped rotors.”

“Called yesterday (9/11/18) to get a quote for a replacement windshield on my F150, spoke with Jason Burrow and after getting a price was able to scheduled appointment for today. Very pleasant to talk with as he proceeded to replace the windshield - quite an interesting process to watch. Left the area clean and upon handing me an invoice also gave me a certificate for a "Free Chip Repair" - but hoping I don't need to use...”

“As a sprinter owner, you get very nervous as to who works on your vehicle. I wish I could provide this guy 10 stars. Juan is a wonderful trustworthy person, an excellent Mercedes Sprinter specific certified mechanic and bottom line, I can’t say enough about how appreciative I was for his short notice help he provided as we drove from Portland to Baja… He’s only open after 6:30pm weekdays and Saturdays after 7am. I would drive from FAR away to have him work on my sprinter in the future.”

“Camarena's became my recent favorite car repair service in Lompoc. I had taken my Toyota FJ Cruiser into a Toyota dealership for its routine maintenance, and they said I needed several other repairs and gave me a quote of $3,000. I took their recommendations to Camarena's and asked for a quote for those repairs. The repairs at Camarena's were $1,000 cheaper and they did a fantastic job. Since that time, we have needed several emergency repairs on the two vehicles we own and even though they were super busy they have always been able to fit us in with a quick turnaround.Thank you and know that you are appreciated. “Cesar Alvarez at P & L Trans & Auto Repair is a blessing. My power steering pump went out and they changed it under warranty a year and 3 months later without issue. While they were changing it they found a huge leak in my rack and pinion and they did the $1300 repair without any payment and allowed me to pay later!!!! I offered my title and Cesar refused to take it!! I told them to take there time and they had it done in 2 days!!!! “This place was a great place to accidentally stumble across. Yesterday my car started overheating as I was driving. I pulled over on 7th street not wanting to drive too far. I noticed online they had an auto repair shop on the next street over. I pulled up and the owner came out, looked at my vehicle and diagnosed it right away. Mind you it's 2:30 in the afternoon. He tells me he has to order the part and he will get it around 430. I get a quoted price which was very reasonable! I also did not have to pay for the diagnostic maybe because the issue was obvious but either way I was happy. I got a call this morning letting me know my car was done. I didn't have a ride downtown so they offered to pick me up. All and all I am just happy to find an honest place that was an affordable option for me. I will be going to them from here on out.”

“I too am surprised by the negative comments about this shop, I have been coming here for years especially for the problems more than just a minor nuisance. I have come to the Automotive Service Center on a few occasions when repair attempts were unsuccessful at other repair shops. Mark is very straight forward and does not sugar coat the problems so don't expect a fairytale. With that said I have found that he always addresses the issues, and so far, successfully. Being a mechanic myself when I was younger gives me enough knowledge to know when I am being BS'd. And that lady behind the desk. I don't know where she received her training, possibly years of experience working in and around the repair shop. She is actually very knowledgeable, and when she says something, it would be unwise to blow off her message. I had error codes in the OBD2 that had to be reset which requires a period of driving in a particular way. After a couple hundred miles (mainly short trips back and forth to work) not all the required monitors had cleared that would allow a smog check to pass. After that I took the advice I was provided by that lady behind the desk and took a trip down to Camarillo and back. The monitors cleared somewhere on the return trip home and I was able to have the smog check completed just prior to the period allowed for registration renewal.”
