Loved the salad with salmon! I heard the pizza was good too! A bit noisy with the planes flying over so keep that in mind if you're trying to have conversations.

The food is good, the service is outstanding but the metal chairs are not very comfy.

It is a nice place to have a good time with friends. The food is delicious and very good service, we were served by Jorge, he was very kind and friendly, five stars for him.
Officine Buona Forchetta marries two of San Diego's finest Italian chefs: Matteo Cattaneo of Buona Forchetta in South Park and Mario Cassineri of downtown's Bice Ristorante. Together, they have created an eye-catching eatery to showcase their talents. Antique farming tools, a cherry red Vesper atop the bar, hand-painted murals and a vintage Fiat converted into a cozy hipster table for two set the scene. A duo of gold-tiled pizza ovens anchor the room where diners are invited to sit at the counter of the pizza station to watch master pizzaiolo Marcello Avitabile, a five-time Pizza World Champion, at work. Piping hot Neapolitan pizzas are presented on wooden boards, decorated with everything from prosciutto, baby arugula and shaved Parmesan to shrimp and bay scallops. Sauceless, fried or gluten-free pizzas also color the menu, along with antipasti like calamari, caprese salads, tuna and shrimp tartare. Octopus carpaccio on arugula is another creative starter. Entrées include pastas, plump calzones, osso buco, fresh fish and steaks. Chefs Francesca Penoncelli and Fernando Gorrino create desserts such as the cremoso al cioccolato e nocciola --- chocolate and hazelnut crème in a bacon-pecan crust. The lunch crowd will go for the three-course prix-fixe menu for $14. Families will appreciate the back patio with a playset and lawn so the kids can romp.
