“I have a colony and just finished getting all the females spayed to avoid kittens. They procreate unreasonably quickly and I can only care for so many cats. The urban ecosystem can only manage so many cats but I appreciate not having to worry about rodents. My local opossum is doing a great job at managing ticks. Love the wildlife, just trying to be responsible.”

“The veterinarian took the time with my shih tsu and did a pretty thorough examination and gave me excellent alternatives to the issue my fur baby was experiencing. This summer, he had been skunked and bitten by fleas. The flea treatment I had been using just was not working, and the skunk spraying him was an experience neither of us had experienced. Well, on the latter, he was okay, but the fleas had caused a rash and we are working on that; he is doing better. First time for everything!”

“I come here their pet exams and my dog’s allergy shots. The shots are the cheapest I’ve found anywhere and helped my dogs a lot. I’ve also come in when I need my dogs checked out for a reason and they’ve always provided good exams. The people are nice. If you go plan to stay awhile. Make sure you come in the morning as there is a limited amount of numbers for exams, so the early bird gets the early worm.”

Scheduling a full assessment for her was a blessing at El Sobrante Vet Hospital. Dr Wehren did a full assessment, spent the needed time with her as well as staff. There's a great selection of food and supplies (some hard to find) and you can get a lot of normally "prescription only" items. Some require a clinic visit but others like sub-q bags are easily available.”

“Dr Pulgini and staff were great with Ella. They were able to look at her ears which are always very sensitive and were particularly sore, despite her loud cries of pain, and sent home medication to help her. Ella is over 15, and Dr Pulgini has been very knowledgeable about old dog issues and is very caring and compassionate. All the vet techs/dr assistants have also been great. The gentleman who checked us out was particularly friendly, outgoing and sweet. I have been very happy with the services Ella has received at Claremont Veterinary Hospital!”

“Our dog has been seen by Dermatology for Animals, Oakland for almost ~6 years and we absolutely love them! The whole staff and the doctor are all very sweet and loving and has put in a lot of effort to keep our dog comfortable and safe while making sure they can examine him thoroughly and diagnose him. Even when we don’t have an appointment with the doctor, she makes sure to say hi if she sees us in the waiting area for a vet tech appointment. Our dogs health situation has been complicated to say the least but they have stuck with us (and continue to stick with us) throughout the journey. We always feel welcomed and have never felt judged and this makes it super easy to really focus on doing the best for our dog. We really love them and hope others can benefit from their expertise and excellence.”

“We brought out rabbit to PETS Ophthalmology for a consultation for a recommended Enucleation. Our rabbit was a older adult aged rabbit and we were very anxious about the anesthesia as well as the risk that enucleations have on rabbits (as the eye is close a vein that can cause bleeding out). We saw Dr. Gleeson and her staff (Lisa) who were absolutely wonderful the entire process. I could tell from the Dr's questions, quick observations and her confidence that our bun was in good hands. The surgery was performed in tandem by Dr. Zarfoss, who we didnt get to meet but who had inspected him as well. Both doctors were very thoughtful and caring, taking conservative approaches. On the day of the surgery the staff kept a very close eye on him, called me throughout each part of the process, and sent me all his vitals and information for proper discharge. Overall the cost of the surgery was very fair and reasonable. I would recommend PETs for anyone looking for excellent ophthalmology care and enucleation for buns”

“This is my first time coming to VCA. The environment was nice, they separate the dogs, cats, and exotics section in the waiting room. The exam room was perfect for my rabbit. I like that they do the exam on the ground as oppose to high up. My rabbit wasn't anxious at all, however, he does not like being handled. Dr. Chung and the vet tech, Dylan, was pretty gentle with him despite his feisty resistance. I did use the first time free exam certificate from the adoption center, but forgot the paper. However they were understanding, and I was able to email it to them post-appointment. Overall, I'm glad my rabbit is healthy and the exam went smoothly! In terms of price point, I am quite shocked by the price of the exam and treatments especially the vaccines! Oh my goodness! My go-to vet clinic has low cost vaccines for 2 doses, while VCA charges $88 PER DOSE. Suffice to say, I will stick to my usual vet clinic. Thank you, VCA!”
