Dr. Lee and the staff at Campus Vet have made the experience so much easier. They are patient and understanding and take incredible care of my kitties. “Great veterinarians. The Dr.'s are all nice and care about my dogs health and happiness while we're there. The receptionists are very friendly and always give my dog attention, plus they're good with keeping animals separate if they're not good with other animals. The vet techs always take good care of her and she comes out happy. We go in often for anal gland issues...one tech keeps her happy on the front end while another does the dirty work. They always let me know how it went which I appreciate. I took her in for a bump removal surgery once and they have a separate room for the dog to recover in, not a crate. Plus there's a parking lot!Thanks for taking such good care of Lulu and making her feel loved while we're there.”

“I have two dogs and a cat. An old Pomeranian and a young mutt that's half German Shepherd half husky and she suffers from chronic stomach troubles. My cat weighs 25 lb - yes, not the healthiest weight but we try. I have spent so much time at University Vet in the last couple of years that I joke that I should have my own wing. Hands down this is the most pleasant veterinary experience I've had and I've had a lot of animals in my life. Every doctor in the practice is pleasant, intelligent, compassionate, and outstanding with animals. The front desk team makes you feel welcome. They are responsive and engaged. They follow through. The techs are animal lovers and the entire company seems happy to be there, which is so refreshing. Appointments happen on time and you're in and out without anxiety or long wait times.I can't say enough positive about University Vet. This practice is outstanding!”

“Berkeley Dog and Cat is the place to go for emergency or critical care for your cat. I have been a client for over 15 yrs and they have helped me with critical care for several cats. Their vets do not "up sale" you but honestly explain your options with the cost. They do not pressure you for a decision; I found Dr. Minturn particularly helpful. He recommended caution and patience with some medication before making a final life decision. My cat Leon recovered and is alive and healthy today because of his recommendations! I highly recommend them.”

“I know this place has some bad reviews, but you shouldn't always believe everything you read. I've learned that you have to make your own judgements and opinions and person/place/thing. With this Said I do recommend this place. After calling one after the other in Google maps finally after10+ calls they were able to get me a same day appointment and take me in as a new patient. I had started to really get upset with every other vet telling me either they are all booked up or that they are not taking new clients. My own vet wouldn't even get me In. The vets whole crew although they do look fresh out of school are still very knowledgeable and they might lack experience but hey give them a chance so that they can. I mean I did and I don't regret it”

“Sadly we had to put our elderly cat down as his health deteriorated beyond treatment. We had never used Kensington Vet before but they are close to our house so it made the process easier. Although it was a very difficult experience, the staff and Veterinarian were so empathetic and understanding and truly understood our needs. “It took a while to secure a new appointment here for my elderly shiba inu. She had been suffering from UTI's and skin itching for a long time. I used to get steroid shots for her every few months from our vet to calm everything, but they were pricey and he recommended that it would cause long term harm to our dog if we do it constantly, especially at her age. We turned to DFA in Oakland and the doctor there was most helpful. She was put on a Rx diet which helped. We also got recommendations to try other foods out there on the market as the Rx food was rather pricey. The advise worked and our pooch is no longer suffering with infections and rashes.”

“I brought my pet here and the experience was pretty great all around. Every time I've looked at scheduling an appointment I can usually find one about 10 days to 2 weeks out. Plus, some of their vets do hours that help for a 9-5 job. The vet tech was very nice and the vet listened to our concerns and offered reasonable paths forward to explore for treatment for our pet. May not be ideal if you have a pet emergency but if you are going for routine checkups or less urgent concerns it was a great option.”

“This vet offers low-cost, spay, neuter and in a timely fashion. A close friend of mine has recommended this to me and she has taken over 30 animals to them ( for spay neuter ) without any hitch. I recommended them to a friend who had taken in a stray. I've just taken in a couple kitties that are stray (all spay neuter).. I do recommend them for spay neuter. When you do rescue it means everything.”
