Excellent service , food presentation ! Great meat selections! I myself am a fish lover - wish there were more choices for the non- meat eaters. My husband loved the elk !

The Range's motto says it all: "Beer drinking music and wine-friendly food." Yes, you'll be listening to Cash (and you'll have to pay with it since they don't take plastic), Haggard and Nelson, but you'll also be dining on organic lamb chops with paprika sauce, a pizzette with pulled pork and pasilla chiles, and an arugula salad topped with poached wild Mexican shrimp, which have appeared among daily specials. Stalwarts on the regular menu include "The Man" wedge salad with crème fraîche dressing, pan-roasted elk medallions with Montmorency cherry bordelaise, and a coffee-crusted rib-eye with Wild Turkey peppercorn-cream sauce. For dessert, cozy up to a Meyer lemon pound cake, crack the crust on a lavender crème brûlée, or shake it up with a "Hillbilly Heaven" bitter chocolate pecan tart served with banana gelato and a whiskey caramel sauce. The reasonably priced wine list showcases local labels, and includes a respectable by-the-glass selection.
