Located in the outdoor Barlow market of Sebastopol, California, Pax Wines is a comfortable, unpretentious spot to taste the wines of the talented vintner Pax Mahles . They feature many varietals, but at Pax Wines, Syrah is king. Don’t miss the Syrah from Grizzley Ridge: pure smoke, wood, and pepper.

Quite rude and unfriendly folk - there are much better places to grab a glass of wine in the surrounding area.

Nice place, very cozy setting. The wines did not consistently deliver on my expectation, although some of them were really good. Spite our reservation the seating was not given, however after a moment of confusion someone left and we got decent seats.
Established in 2000 by Pax and Pamela Mahle, Pax Wines focuses on Syrah and Gamay Noir from cool, coastal sites, as well as a selection of esoteric varieties that showcase the great diversity of California wine.
From the vineyard to the cellar, a holistic style of winemaking is practiced. This means that all the fruit is grown using organic, sustainable, or biodynamic methods and no unnatural additions are applied in the winery.
