Philip, the new owner, and his wife are some of the coolest people you'd ever meet. And the food here is still awesome. Been going here for years, and will continue to do so.

This is a traditional deli - great food, good service, great pickles, and a simple decor. Wonderful food and an actual deli where you can take meats and cheeses home. Strongly recommend.

Food is always consistently excellent. The staff is also consistently friendly.
Locals flock to this old-school deli to kibitz over classics like chopped liver on rye and towering stacks of pastrami and corned beef. The customary bottomless pickle jar adorns every table, and the service is informal yet unfailingly precise. If you're in a seafood mood, try the fish feast: a spread of lox, cod, whitefish and creamed herring served with bagels and cream cheese and all the fixings. While New York-style deli fare is the main draw, the menu wanders from Spanish omelets to Swedish pancakes and Belgian waffles. We suggest you stick to traditional deli entrées. And save room for dessert; Danny's is also a full-service bakery, offering fresh pies alongside kosher mainstays like rugelach and mandelbrot (an Eastern European version of biscotti).
