They actually keep a record of which "Pops" I have purchased for her from here in the past so I don't make a mistake and get her the same gift twice. Now that's what I call a helpful staff. I came to James and Daniel to shop for my now fiancé’s engagement ring on recommendation from my future brother in law, and they made the process so easy, but also so enjoyable!! Their expertise, recommendations and knowledge were unbelievably helpful, and they were also so receptive to any input or wants or suggestions I had to find the perfect ring. I was using a family heirloom diamond for the ring, and they made a stone that was originally purchased in 1985 look totally brand new! “Dawn at Marie's Jewelry pierced my daughter's ears last summer. Not only was her technique perfect, she was also fantastic with handling my daughter's anxiety over having the piercing done. She makes it really fun and exciting, let's the child pick out their earrings, calms them down, and makes it a really happy experience for them. She gave us perfect advice on how to do the aftercare for the new piercing and my daughter had no complications after at all. I've heard awful stories of people who went to other piercing places with bad infections after, but ours went perfectly! This is also a family run business where all the employees are super friendly. Best experience!”

“I really like Red Owl when you want to pick out something special for someone. There are a lot of thoughtful things unique to Cheshire or special occasions that you wouldn’t find just anywhere. I also love that they gift wrap it for you! I would love to see the clothing options expand however, keeping a small selection is probably important to this type of shop. Reminds me of the shops you see along a boardwalk or on vacation. Crafty, unique, quality. I purchased a few personalized gifts including a Christmas ornament that says “no place like home for the holidays” with the town zip code. I can’t wait to give it to my daughter when she comes home for Christmas, so cute!”

“I went there to get my daughter’s ears pierced. I really loved how clean place was and how friendly and attentive the staff wasI should takeoff more stars for this, but again because of how friendly and attentive and clean everything was, I’m only taking off one starWhen they pierced her ears, one side went through crooked and hit the backing and bent the piece that goes through the ear.The gentleman said he’s not allowed to push it through, and I have to. It was clearly visibly bent.They immediately should have said that it was bent, and either offered me one new stud or a discount. The fact that they didn’t say anything to see maybe if I wouldn’t notice was not acceptable, and not very honest and forthcoming.That was my only disappointment with that store.”

“Azaria is an amazing employee. I have a 3 month-old daughter and I'm from Danbury. I called ahead of time to let her know I was on the way because there was traffic. The mall closes at 7 pm and she said she would stay behind just to provide me service. It was quick and my daughter cried for one minute. I definitely recommend her for piercings.”
“Ok let me start off by stating with full disclosure Mike has been a friend for over 20 years since before his place burned down on Thomaston Ave. from a restaurant fire next door. That being said I have gone to Mike for Birthstone Baby Booties charms for the Grandma’s when my girls were born (oldest is now 21). I won’t go anywhere but to Mike for anything, he will tell you straight up if he can do something or if that’s not in his wheelhouse. I promise you-you will never feel scammed or taken advantage of, he honestly doesn’t have that bone in his body. He’s a working jewler not a jewelry hawker and is a solo act. Just recently I was down dropping off my sisters ring to be redone, my daughters boyfriends chain to get repaired and getting my wife’s rings sized and soldered together. Also for our 25th Wedding Anniversary we got her a gorgeous Rose gold type infinity ring.
