This is my favorite restaurant in DC. Lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, great food. Prices are reasonable, especially for Georgetown. Highly recommend.

Legit French food in a very quaint restaurant. Owner is from Nice and the food was very good.
Pronounced 'la show me air', La Chaumière is as close as it gets to dining in a French country inn.
The unpretentious atmosphere enhanced by the central stone fireplace, wood beams and stucco walls offers a rustic and romantic escape from city life for the last 46 years. Loyal patrons are invariably dazzled by the consistent quality of food prepared by Chef de Cuisine Patrick Moulet and a well thought out wine list featuring the wines of Bordeaux.
