Nice enough place, food is good but not great, but the service was quite lacking (super super slow and also very dry)

Afternoon tea was wonderful. Great selection of teas and cocktails. The food was delicious and the service was very attentive. Can't wait to come back!

The tea service and employees were great. The decor was beautiful too. Only complaints would be the stale bread on the sandwiches, the mini raspberry donut pastry (did not taste good), and the loud noise level.
Opaline Bar and Brasserie in Washington, DC, serves classic French food–food that people love and remember because it is consistent and simply prepared every time. The all-day menu features favorites including Oysters on the Half Shell, Boudin Blanc, Steak Frites, Rattatouille, Herb Roasted Chicken and our signature Opaline Burger topped with gruyere and caramelized onions. The Bar offers classic bites such as Escargot and Deviled Eggs, as well as more satisfying plates like Moules Frites, Croque Monsieur and Tuna Nicoise.
