“I was recently on a road trip with my son to the Everglades from north Florida, and we were spending a night near Belle Glade on the way down. My check engine light randomly started flashing and the car went into limp mode. This was about 3 pm on a Friday, so I was scrambling to find someone that could look at it before closing for the weekend. After calling several other places with all of them saying they couldn’t see me, I called D and L and spoke with Eric. He told me to bring it in and they diagnosed me right away. They also called a local Hyundai dealership for me to get some more information on my model. They told me it wasn’t anything urgent and took the car out of limp mode for me, but warned me that it might go back into limp mode and to take it to a dealership when I could because there were some known recalls on my engine. It did go back into limp mode a day later, and I stopped back by a couple days after that on our way back home. They took it out of limp mode for me again so I could drive home at normal speeds. They didn’t charge me either time, and I really feel like they took compassion on me due to my situation.
I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thanks again for your help!”
“My wait time here is always 30 minutes or less. Just went today for an oil change on my F150. I was there and waited 10 mins before they worked on my vehicle. And when they started to service it, they were done in 10 mins. Beats the 2 to 4 hr wait at the dealership plus the high cost at the dealership, even with appointment at dealerships. Will continue to come here for both of my vehicles.”
“We are on a long journey across this beautiful country on our 2008 Harley Softail custom. After starting out this morning, we were in the middle of nowhere in east central Florida and starting having problems with the clutch disengaging when depressing the clutch lever. I checked the tension and looked the clutch cable adjustment, etc. While trying to shift and force the transmission into neutral, my wife looks over my should and said should the cable you're working on bow out when you squeeze the handle. Strangest thingbI've seen on a bike, but the clutch cable had a crack from a few inches from the lever down about a foot. The bowing of the braid inside the cable prevented the clutch from disengaging. I could wrap my hand around the cable and actually shift, but you need three hands to stop and start. We saw Precision Automotive and immediately pulled in. I was in desperate need of black electrical tape and tie-wraps to secure the cracked clutch cable. Fred supplied us with both, and a pair of wire cutters. He also told us to keep the excess ties and tape in case had any further issues. I offered to pay for these items, but Fred said no. He is an awesome businessman who went out of his way to help us, and we aren't even locals. You're lucky if you live in his area to have an auto repair shop with such a decent and generous owner. Our thanks go out to Fred for his generosity.”
