“We had our first visit to FPMC yesterday and I could not be more impressed with the level of care and professionalism. From the receptionist ‘Elaine’, who from the first phone call made me feel so welcome, to Vet Tech Elisa, who was so knowledgeable, kind to me and my pets, and very detailed in her care and concern, to Dr. Alpert, who was compassionate and a pleasure to spend time with, and was kind enough to speak to my husband on the phone. It truly was an exceptional experience. After leaving my former vet (after 15 years) it was everything I hoped for and more. My Yorkie Louie needed some extra attention due to a heart murmur that Elisa detected. They jumped right on it with an EKG/Ultra-Sound and diagnosis in record speed. Truly if you are seeking professionalism, a kind bedside manner and an overall positive experience this is the place! And they are a 24 hour emergency facility as well. “Thank you Dr. Brandon Cox, Nicole, John and the entire staff. I walked in feeling helpless because of my fur baby Panzcha.Another vet in another location told me to put my furbaby Panzcha down, and they overcharged me for unnecessary tests and they gave her an eye infection. Unfortunately I took her to this place because doctors Cox was not available and I panic.I drove 45 minutes to see DrCox as an emergency visit today since my last visit in March. Yes my Panzcha has an eye infection from that other place, and I know her kidneys are failing… but Doctor Cox took my fabulous Panzcha in, and unlike the other place I sat that whole time with my furbaby while the doctor and assistant took care of her.I now know for sure that this is the place I’ll be forever thankful and the honesty and caring way Dr Cox has shown .. I am forever thankful with gratitude. My Panzcha purrs was my biggest affirmation that my Panzcha loved and trusted Dr. Cox. At the other location my Panzcha hissed and bit the vet and once they found out I did not wanted their services they just left me alone with no answers and told me to leave.Dr Brandon Cox, we need more amazing caring humans like you. You gave me your honest opinion and my heart is grateful.. thank you also for the hug.. no one in any other place had given me a hug when I was trying to hold back my tears from fear of not been able to help my Panzcha.My Panzcha is a senior.. over 10, I rescued her back in 2018 .. “THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! Best animal hospital ever!!! If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would!!! We weren’t home, but instead out of state traveling with the kids, when I got a call from a friend feeding my pups, that Abby, our chocolate lab, wasn’t looking well. She wasn’t walking on her own (her back legs were giving out), she was breathing heavy and was not her playful self. He picked her up (she’s really heavy) and put her in the back of his Jeep, and took her to the hospital. I had called when she was en route and they brought her right in to immediately begin treating her. Unfortunately, she was too sick and she wasn’t going to make it. It was 3 am at this point but I was able to FaceTime with her and speak to her and she recognized my voice and face. She was our first family dog and the one that the kids were most attached to. They were sleeping at the time but my heart was heavy at having to tell them the news in the morning. Through the hospital, we cremated Abby and even have her paw prints. As difficult as that whole process was, the doctor and team at the hospital were absolutely amazing!! At Abby’s time of need, they treated her as if she was theirs. THANK YOU!!!!!!”

“Dr. Proietto is amazing. She is exactly what she would want in a veterinarian during the time when you are freaking out about your baby's eyesight. She was kind compassionate and caring. She answered all of my questions and I had a ton of them, and I felt super comfortable and reassured afterwards. Dr. Diaz, was so knowledgeable and caring and took the time to explain everything to me for as long as it took. I even called days before surgery just to make sure I understood everything. And he still spent a lot of time on the phone with me going over everything again. I am beyond grateful to both of them for helping my baby see again and I don't think there are enough words to thank them enough! ?”

“In January of 2023 my Wife and I were told that our baby Ivory had 3 months to live. Then they told us that we needed to bring him to a vet close to home so that he could get treatment every 3 days. We then brought Ivory to Dr. Javier. The staff was so caring and compassionate and he loved seeing them. During the initial exam and 1st treatment they took blood. Dr. Javier called us and told us that even after his treatment his kidney levels got worse. He told us we could continue the Treatment as recommended by the Vet Hospital however its hard on his heart and his body and he would probably pass in a few weeks. We decide to just love him and make him comfortable at home until he passed. We lost Ivory 3 months later the day before the terrible flood. I can not say enough about Ft. Lauderdale Veterinary Center. Dr. Javier put Ivory's comfort and pain over his profits. I truly admire his love for pets over money. This Center is simply amazing. Thank you Dr. Javier for being so caring.”

“I'm leaving a review particularly after seeing the rating. While I am a new customer and one of the two employees I dealt with was also new on staff, I can't say enough how helpful they were. And how well they managed to handle all my questions and the adoption of my new little kitty on top of running a store which got quite busy sometimes. There was a gentleman there servicing all of the tanks and fish, also an employee, as an aquarium enthusiast the conditions looked healthy. Kody and Nicole went out of their way to make sure I felt well taken care of. I don't usually write reviews, but anyone can have a bad day and any business can go through a tough time with their staff/customer service. I didn't find this to be the case on my first (but certainly not last) visit. I would highly recommend”

“I had brought a previous pet in to them many years ago and had to put him down. At that time the staff was so compassionate and did such a great job in explaining my options I was grateful. I just brought another of my dogs in with the same symptoms. I was distraught, thought I would lose her. My girl has never been sick in her 12 years. The staff called me to update me through the night, I was allowed back in the treatment room where I could visit with my girl while she was in an oxygen chamber. My dog had pneumonia in both her lungs, had pulmonary hypertension. I read online the outcome of a flare-up. Not good. They were able to treat her and she is back home with me. The entire staff is top notch. Caring, compassionate, knowledgeable. Very glad I brought her there.”
