The Jimmy Carter Presidential Library and Museum offers an inspirational look at the 39th President. The Museum traces Carter's life from his childhood in Plains, Georgia through his Nobel Peace Prize-winning work at The Carter Center. There are photographs, historic artifacts, interactive displays and unique State Gifts. You can walk into an exact replic of the Oval Office and experience a Day in the Life of the President on giant screens in the rotunda.
The 37 acre grounds include two small lakes, a Japanese Garden and a Rose Garden.
As an archive, researchers have access to millions of pages of presidential papers, photographs and videos.
