Starting Spring 2021 I was very excited to know that Redeemer Church was open to all to worship. They could have easily kept their in house worship for members only, but they did not. I have since enjoyed volunteering in one of the ministries, and became a new member. It has been a wonderful journey.
February 2021
I’ve been a member of Redeemer since 1993. Absolutely love this church family! Cannot wait until we go back live again but until then we are online for Covid. I give the church leaders a lot of credit in keeping us in contact through Livestream, Zoom, the vineyard groups, email, newsletter and Facebook group.
March 2020
I found Redeemer shortly after moving from Lawrenceville, closer to the city. I love the music, fellowship and sermons! It is the perfect type of Christianity the world needs right now and always!
Lutheran Church of the Redeemer was founded in Atlanta in 1903. It is a member of Southeastern Synod of the ELCA. Our current sanctuary was built in 1951 and a world class Leternou pipe organ was added later. There is a vibrant children’s ministry, choir and music program, and many small groups. Redeemer is an active partner with a number of community nonprofit organizations.
The Lutheran Community Food Ministry has been serving a weekday meal at 10:30 in our fellowship hall (entrance off 4th Street) since 1982.
Redeemer is also home to the Midtown Lutheran Preschool. Learn more about the emergent play program with dual language classrooms at mtlps dot org. It's an ideal location for those who live or work intown.
