We had another great experience at Ray's in the City. Teresa is the best hostess, and Ana is always friendly when delivering our food.

The Quintessential Downtown Atlanta Restaurant!

From exceptional service and entree recommendations to wine pairings, our friendly and knowledgeable staff are committed to providing you a truly memorable dining experience.
Best for Restaurants near Georgia Dome Because: Enjoy fresh seafood and sushi close to the Georgia Dome.
Best for Seafood Because: Seafood is delivered several times daily, and everything is impeccably fresh.
Best for Restaurants near Philips Arena Because: Long-time Downtown Atlanta staple, Ray's in the City serves up fresh seafood in an upscale setting.
About the restaurant: Instead of the Chattahoochee River, which laps past flagship Ray's on the River, Ray's in the City looks out onto the ebb and flow of Peachtree Street. Depending on the table you choose, you can feel a part of the urban environment, or take a seat at the sushi/oyster bar or settle into a corner of the sophisticated space and just chill.Food & Drinks: Fresh seafood may be grilled, broiled or blackened, and served with a selection of fish-friendly sauces. Insist that your fish be cooked to the desired doneness, as occasionally the kitchen will slip up, and produce well-done tuna steaks when medium is called for. Chicken and steaks also are available for any non-fin fanciers. For dessert, target the Key lime pie, packed into a toasted macadamia nut and coconut graham cracker crust. The wine list has been enhanced and offers greater depth and breadth than it once did. It satisfies many needs, with selections largely from California, Italy and France, and including both reasonable values and big ticket choices, such as Screaming Eagle, and a lineup of large format bottles. Sakés to go with your sushi and numerous dessert wines are offered. Happy hour from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday at the bar only features half-priced appetizers and specialty drinks.
