Best burger I've had in a long time, worth making a trip there.

We wanted a good burger for dinner and we were not disappointed!! The buns were amazingly soft, and all of the ingredients were fresh, locally sourced and delicious.Kid-friendliness: Loved that they had the Keiki meals for our littles.

Picked up the $6 burger special. After driving another 10 min. Burger looked smashed but still tasted good. Would go back. Just try to eat Asap.

Honolulu Burger Co. capitalizes on Oahu's seemingly insatiable appetite for burgers, fries and shakes. The Makiki area near the University of Hawaii campus is a target-rich environment for this casual eatery. There are a variety of burgers and sandwiches on offer including those with indulgent plays on local flavors, such as the Buta Kau Kau burger: a Big Island beef patty topped with Black Forest ham, bacon and house-made kalua pork with barbecue sauce. For something lighter, swap a grilled organic Jidori chicken breast in place of any of the burgers for an extra charge. Local producers have been highlighted as much as possible, such as Naked Cow Dairy cheese curds in the poutine fries, 100 percent Big Island coffee and Waialua sodas. For dessert, select from two flavors of the popular local OnoPops, which rotate seasonally.
