“A Small Christian School in Aina Haina flourishes next to a Highway. Small classroom ratios. Safety first. Special Fun Events such as the Pumpkin Fest held on October 23 this year. Advanced tickets were sold this year for allotted time slots of 1 1/2 hours due to Covid. Pumpkins scattered in piles for the pickings. Games with prizes (everyone is a winner). Free shave ice. After completing a checklist Goodie bags were given to each child. A fun event for young & old”

“Great staff, friendly community, nice facilities, and a beautiful campus. The full IB program they offered was incredibly tough, but college on the mainland was a breeze.”

“I have sent all my kids here since 2015 and every administrator and teacher has been outstanding from day one. I'm addition to being a diamond in the ruff, they have exceeded all my expectations even though it's a very small school. They are not only amazing role models, they are personally invested in all the kids. I personally feel like their second parents to my children. I highly recommend this school to anyone who wants a high quality education for their children.”

“Amazing, the kids love it! They get to do all kinds of activities, sports, and faith. They enforce reading to the kids, are teaching them things above where I thought they would be and they are doing great. Really friendly and easy to communicate. Highly recommend, coming from parents of twin 3 year olds.”

“Having lived in various locations and experienced different daycares on the mainland, and having to interact with many schools on Oahu as part of my job, we feel capable of making a fair comparison. Our two young kids have been nurtured at CWAA, right from infancy up until their fifth year, and we've witnessed them flourish in this environment. The standout characteristics of CWAA include top-notch teachers who view this as a long-term career choice, absolute transparency through windows and utilizing an app, frequent expeditions to the local park, soccer training, and a healthy food program. Moreover, we appreciate the flexible hours that align with our hectic work schedules. Unlike many schools on Oahu, CWAA does not impose extra charges for before and after school care, which is a huge relief. We particularly commend the rational approach they took towards Covid, as opposed to the antagonistic attitude at other places. The children are always put first. The children at CWAA form a close-knit community with interaction between classrooms and all teachers while being academic focused in their respective age cohorts. The children here are highly sociable and collaborate effectively on projects, and of course, play. My four year old knows most of the periodic table. The kids here are all Iolani and Punahou bound.”

“I was blessed enough to had been able to send 2 of my children here. They both started in Kailua (7th & Kindergarten) its a small school, but the great thing about small schools are the Children have way more attention of the teachers. It's a SDA christian based school. I loved everything about this school! Ive NEVER known anyone from both campuses to disrespect another person or even neighbors. They are one the most kind people I know of. Granted NO ONE is perfect, theres not a single human on the planet that's perfect. However, they have shown my children and family nothing but respect, compassion and love. If you're considering sending your child to any one of there campuses, you wont regret it! They also have a high rate of graduates from HMA that enroll in colleges.”

“I visited Urasenke Tea House with my husband during one of their weekly demos and we were astonished by the level of richness of history behind "chado", the way of tea. The location is beautiful, peaceful and authentic. I felt as if I was visiting Japan again!Ritsu and Sensi were very kind and answered our questions as they guided us between areas of the chashitsu (tea house). We tried the delicious matcha tea and sweets.Make time for this place on your journey to Waikiki and remember to leave a donation (up to you). I'm 100% looking forward to visiting Urasenke locations all over the world!”

“Here to honor HPD Officer Kaulike Kalama today. Our chapel is beautiful but definitelyvwont hold everyone however they have tents outside for more seating. They have the Royal Band here today as well as all emergency divisions. For today's service Kamehameha is providing shuttle service from the parking structure and off campus parking. Kamehameha Schools hosts alot of events but today's one is huge. I have to give our school kudos for having Kaulike's celebration of life here because this is a big event and to honor him is beautiful.”

“Great loving teachers, amazing & safe facilities, Christ-Centered (including daily worship), catered meals included, year-round school & long hours, many field-trips and activities, uniforms are convenient, teach different languages (some Hawaiian, Japanese, and ASL), many improvements constantly being made, and many more only positive things I've experienced over the last almost 2 years, plus a slight sibling discount for my 2nd son who is there now also. This school has been a God-send, especially since we've tried other schools and they did not compare.”

“Small improv group operating in an intimate space. We went to see their musical show and it was great. They made up songs based on audience interviews and instagram accounts, it was really solid improv work, and a great price for a fun way to spend a Saturday night. Highly recommend.”

“I'm not happy about the graduation ceremony dress code as I'm sure a lot of students feel that they should get to be themselves on the last day that defines their end to childhood and entry into young-adulthood marked by ceremony and walking to accept their diploma is a heavy and weighty feeling. To finally experience a relief of the culmination of their hard work- matching everyone and being so strict about it just defines the Hawaii Public School's under-funding and in my opinion, over exertion of "power." They don't need a strict dress code of matching colors of white and black only! They'll look like a class of waiters or servers. Please fix this. School colors would be okay, or just have a simple dress code of "professional!" Why is that not okay? Side Note: Hawaii schools look like prisons. I implore people to do more for Hawaii Public Schools; redesign, fix, and change is necessary. Take your cues from the schools like Issaqua High School, in Issaquah, WA., Eastlake HS, etc. Not having DECA, choices for lunch, and zero snack machines is crazy!! You can make so much money for the school through programs set up by Coca Cola and Pepsi and there are so many ways to make the school better- plus the office people. Please fix their terrible attitudes and sickening power issues they possess. I've never hated going to a high school office more than yours. Growing up the ladies and gentlemen in the office of a High School were always helpful, caring, inviting, & friendly. It's outrageous to experience this front desk team of mean people. I don't know if it's designed that way but it's wrong on so many levels. I shall digress, back to the main point: Their cap and gown and sashes for upstanding presidents list & 4.0 (4.25 this year) students should be your focus (Cum Laude/Summa Cum Laude, etc.,), are you even doing that? How do parents get so little information from the school? It's about time you people stepped up to the plate and stopped your worry about what's under their cap & gowns and focus on your real problems. I've seen the way some kids are dressed for school in items that leave nothing to the imagination. So why, on this day, are you acting like you have it all together? For show? That's kinda about right, unfortunately. And you put it on the families or the kids can't walk. If other parents watched the video by Mr. Taraoka, he must've threatened detention 25 times or more or telling seniors, "you won't be able to walk!" Totalitarian is the definition I'd use. It's distressing to say the least. The class of 2023 is kind, generous, smart, funny, and skilled. Treat them like the young adults they are and remove the dress code for graduation to "professional," minus the color matching. It's a simple thing, really, and would make the most sense. Mahalo Nui Loa!”

“Our son and daughter both attended and graduated from KCAA Wai-Kahala and they both grew so much, socially and emotionally, from their experience there. We are so glad that we decided to send them there and highly recommend KCAA Wai-Kahala to anyone looking for early childhood development and kindergarten preparation. Our son was fortunate enough to attend and graduate before all the Covid-19 restrictions took effect and we really appreciated visiting the campus to view the classroom, meet with his teachers, and get insight in to his progress. Our daughter began enrollment pre-Covid-19 restrictions then transitioned in to the Covid-19 restrictions. Despite the restrictions, she also experienced exceptional social and emotional growth. Although we were not able to go on to campus during these restrictions, we were provided with updates on her progress and given the opportunity to ask any questions we may have had. A great school is a result of great teachers and KCAA Wai-Kahala certainly has great teachers. A big mahalo to the teachers our children have had (Ms. Tiff, Ms. Darcie, Ms. Cindy, Ms. Kelly to name few). Your caring and guidance in dealing with our children is so greatly appreciated and we are so blessed to have had the experience.”

“The BEST tutoring place on the island! Forget about Kumon, go to Intelleyou for actual help. The tutors are super patient and actually assist you with any difficult homework problems. I received tutoring here when I was in high school and it helped me tremendously. I believe they also have worksheets to teach you new concepts in various subjects if you don't have homework to work on. The owner, Mr. Miyamoto is a tutor himself and really tries to help the students understand any difficult problems! All of the tutors are extremely friendly, patient, and helpful. If you or your child needs tutoring, I would definitely recommend this learning center.”

“This is the place I spent the most time on campus besides classes. It's two levels. The complex is UH Manoa's student union. The hub consists of Campus Center, Hemenway Hall and the Warrior Recreation Center. The bookstore is located here and also a food court. I graduated a while ago, so some of the vendors are different.”
