How could you not fall in love with Zengas? One of the true gems of Mount Carroll. I found my most favorite pair of handmade earrings here and can always find a wonderful gift.
I enjoy utilizing materials from things that would ordinarily be discarded after one was finished with their intended use, hence upcycling.
My artistic aim is to redesign these elements in a functional way, so that they may adorn the body (or wall) in a pleasing aesthetic, unique and bespoke to suit the specific individuality of the customer.
Originally from Thomson, IL, I studied at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA, receiving my BAs in English Literature, Art Assemblage and Education K-12.
I started my self -branded design line, Zenga's, in 2010 with a studio/ gallery in Mount Carroll, IL; currently teaching elementary art for Easton Valley Community Schools K-6.
