“Words can’t describe how thankful I am for Oak Hill Animal Hospital. They have consistently went above and beyond for my two kitties over the last nine years and give the best animal care.

This morning my cat Biggie had her first ever emergency. She hasn’t been feeling well for days but I had thought she was on the mend. However, in the middle of the night she started vomiting up bloody foam. She puked three different times and I was so terrified. I was prepared to drive to the 24/7 emergency vet in Louisville. However Oak Hill got us in first thing this morning.

Good news is all her bloodwork came back great! Her kidneys, liver, thyroid, electrolytes, etc. everything is functioning the way it should be. She got an injection and some medications so let’s hope she is on the mend!

They have been amazing in helping us with our cats Loki and Pepper, and have been working with us on getting dental surgery done for Loki as soon as possible.
We've also had the most heart breaking time with them as well as so much of the good with Loki and Pepper. We found this little kitten and named him Diesel. We couldn't afford to take him in for a visit for another week after getting him. But today he took a turn for the worse. The fleas and everything we were already battling on our own just were too much. They helped us and let him come in on emergency. They did everything they could for him. Gave him oxygen, warmed him up, tried to get rid of the fleas, and tried dehydrating him enough to hopefully get a line in to get him iv fluids and nutrition... he unfortunately just didn't have enough red blood cells anymore to fight everything. When the vet called me she was crying, I went to pick up his little body and everyone I saw was either crying or teary eyed. They're working with us on payment for now because this was such an emergency situation and because of us having other cats seeing them. They are some of the best people, and I can't begin to tell yall how much they loved little Diesel even with that being their first and only meeting. RIP Diesel, and thank you to everyone at North Park Vet Care for making sure his final moments were ones of love and care.”

“From the moment we entered the lobby we were impressed. The lobby was clean and calming the front staff spoke quietly and knowledgeable about about our fur baby Jack. She eased our nerves and his. After a very short wait we were shown to a room where our cat could be out of the carrier and more comfortable. My dog, Charlie, has a complicated heart condition and thyroid issues, and he can be incredibly shy and difficult when it comes to getting blood drawn. The staff is always so patient, gentle, and genuinely awesome with him. Their client service is easily the best I’ve ever experienced; they never rush me and always take the time to answer all of my questions.It breaks my heart to see any negative comments about them online because they do so much amazing, charitable work for our local community. I even recently witnessed a client bullying the lady at the desk over VERY reasonable medication prices, that I know are double across town bc I used to go there before I moved to the north side—and the staff member handled it with total grace. “This place saved my dogs lives, on October 7th 2026 my best friend bean to the vet I knew she had Parvo I’ve dealt with it before and I remember the horrible smell, I borrowed from every family member I knew and took the little bit of money I had and brought her to a different vet office in Henderson Ky I brought my baby back into that room where I paid $127 for them to tell me that they don’t treat Parvo instead of telling me from the door, and by the time we got done all other vets were closed. She passed away on October 10th she fought so hard to stay with me and I was praying that my other 2 babies wouldn’t get sick but October 11th at 1:00 my fat Bailey started showing symptoms and not long after Raven did to and my heart broke but I started Doing everything I could to help and I started calling around for vets Weekend and By luck, I seen that this place was the only vet office open and so I called them. I knew I didn’t have the money and I was breaking down trying to figure out if I could just buy the stuff to treat her and not do a vet visit And I wish I would’ve got her name, but the receptionist told me about this thing called CareCredit and I was able to get it within five minutes of applying and I was there within 20 minutes and I can confidently say that they went above and beyond for me and Bailey and Raven. They gave me more time with my best friends, all pet emergency saved their lives they stayed with my budget. They didn’t do anything without me fully understanding what they were doing and how much it costed and I’m very lucky that I called and the amazing woman who answered my call told me about the CareCredit. It’s the next day after their vet visit. My girls Went from not eating and puking every five minutes, not being able to stand to being the little butt faces that they are jumping on my bed, eating everything in sight and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I highly recommend if you’re in the same position as me. Bringing your dogs here for emergencies”
