“my family and I have been going here for years. they make the best goetta around with a great flavor. the goetta is not too salty and not greasy.we also love the sausages, steaks and poultry.on every visit, we like to take home pin wheels. they are prepared steaks stuffed with cheese and mushrooms. they are so delicious cooked on a griddle or cast iron skillet.this year Eckerlin moved locations and added a meat tasting room. we're super excited about this and we tried it for the first time today. the burger was excellent and the fries were very well prepared. good beers on tap too.”

“My dad used to be friends with the founder of Queen City Sausage. My dad delivered livestock to all the slaughterhouses and knew first hand who used quality animals and who didn't. I grew up eating hot dogs, metts and brats from Queen City Sausage. I'm now in my sixties and they still make the only hot dog that I can eat straight out of the package. I pretty sure Elmer is still keeping an eye on his creation, so the quality is still there.”

“The ground beef here is great. I've been using it to make tacos now for a few months. It tastes so much better than stuff bought at a grocery store or wholesale club. I have not tried the Italian sausage yet nor the streaks but I do plan on it soon enough. Especially the Italian sausages as I love a good alfredo with peppers and sausage. I will say that the chorizo is not what I would like but its hard finding that to taste like home without actually being in Mexico. Suffice to say these folks have made Taco Nights at my brothers a big hit and the meat really absorbs and brings out the spices. The ground beef fat just sizzles into a buttery perfection. Definitely gets a golden chefs kiss sticker.”

“I would like to commend the young man who was working the pre-paid line on Friday the 23rd. He was moving people through with a great attitude, was polite and so respectful! Thank you so much for a pleasant experience! For those of you waiting in line, I would recommend, if you can, pre-paying online. You can skip the line. Also, we hesitantly ordered 6 side dishes. I thought that warming them all up was going to be very difficult with different times/temperatures, but they all cooked at 375 for around 60 mins, some 70 mins, and they were delicious!”

“There is overnight parking when you turn to the place from the street light. They unloaded me very fast and handed me back my paperwork.I wasn’t sure if they were going to take me in because I was still waiting for my dispatcher to give me an exact time for the drop off. I tried calling the place but nobody picked up. When I arrived the office staff was friendly and gave me a door on the spot.”

Great that they sent it fast, but I needed to cancel one of the orders. They were able fix everything over the phone and turned a bad experience into a great experience!”
“We are from Texas and we’re in town visiting. I called in an order for a specific cut on some beef short ribs for a Korean style BBQ dinner. I looked up butchers in Cincinnati and saw a link to Avril & Bleh. When placing my order they asked all the right questions about what I wanted and how I wanted it. We opened the meat when we got home and it was perfectly cut to our request. After cooking the meat it was tender and delicious and I couldn’t ask for a better experience from the butchers. Great job guys and when we come back into town, we know where to go.”
