I am one of the founders for Ark-La-Tex Horse Rescue. We have not stopped taking in horses, we have another farm assisting with rescues. The other location is in Plain Dealing and we refer you there. If you are calling about a horse you have concerns about that is not yours then you are referred to your local sheriff.... read full comment

They have not taken in a horse in 5 years per the owner. You will be referred to the Bossier Parish brand inspector. It would be helpful if they published this info so people know.
