The Opelousas Tourist Information Center is situated within a beautiful park like campus of unique historical buildings and the staff really made me feel welcome in a genuinely warm and friendly way!

From Opelousas Tourist Information Center - Le Vieux Village
A collection of historic buildings from the Opelousas area dating from the 1700s to the early 20th century. Among the buildings are one of the oldest creole homes west of the Mississippi River, a 19th century doctor’s office, old country store and a 1911 schoolhouse. It’s also home to LA Orphan Train Museum. Self and guided tours available.
