“Dr. Laura and Amy, the vet-tech who dealt with Luca, were very caring and skilled in dealing with not only Luca, our anxious rescue Lab, but also me with my concerns and questions about his various issues and symptoms surrounding his Kennel Cough. Dr. Laura is always very thorough and informative regarding his care. Dr. Moffat, who has treated previous pets of ours, has also been very informative and compassionate, having come to our home to euthanize them when we needed that personal care provided. He's always gone the extra mile. My only concern regarding Kittery Animal Hospital is that on their receipt for services they do not automatically include detailed information about the reason for the visit, the diagnosis, and the treatment. I generally have to ask for these "soap notes" before and after a visit because they are required by Luca's pet insurance when submitting a claim. It's also helpful to have this written information, itemizing what was discussed with the Vet as part of my dog's medical record. So, it's basically a matter of providing a more inclusive, detailed form at checkout.”

“This last visit when we couldn't see our lovely female vet Dr. Senter who was on vacation, We saw Veterinarian Dr Mike Anderson. He and both of the technicians were absolutely great with our dogs!! We have one who can be temperamental with new people especially men and she had no problem being in the room supporting her sister who was being examined and getting blood drawn. They allowed me to be involved to comfort my nervous dog while she got examined. I also loved that they allowed our other tempermental dog to accompany her sister and no muzzle was required! They were knowledgeable and listened to our concerns and made it super easy to order our dogs prescriptions through Chewy. We will continue to make the drive for the exceptional care! “We are seasonal residents of York and recently had an issue with infected hot spots on our Great Pyrenees. Bunni was wimpering from the hot spots while at our summer home in York, rather than go to a pet emergency hospital I opted to try calling York Village Veterinary since we had pets that were patients 20 years ago when we were full time in York and to my surprise they said they could see here right away. Dr McNutt and Danielle were AMAZING!! So caring as soon as we entered the building. Danielle & Dr McNutt showed so much empathy for Bunni! Dr McNutt spent time discussing Bunni’s issues and thoroughly explaining recommended solutions for her hot spots and other issues she is having as an elderly pup. Considering Bunni was a last minute appt and not a regular patient it was truly such a comfort to see how much they care for animals. Such a great experience at York Village Veterinary ~ thank you!”

“My bearded dragon Toothless unfortunately tested positive for a stubborn parasite earlier this year. During this very stressful time, the Greenland Vet staff were exceptionally supportive throughout the whole process.

They offered Information about the parasite, responded thoroughly and quickly to all of my questions via email, and offered plenty of advice on products I could buy for his enclosure to make it sterilizable along with step by step instructions on what to do.

My beardie just tested negative a few weeks ago thanks to Greenland Vet, Dr Hale, and their caring staff. They still are following up to check in on him, and asking me to let them know how the recovery process is going. As a someone who appreciates detail, I highly recommend this facility if you are looking for someone to not only answer any questions you have and more, but also truly care about your animal.

“Took my two cats for rabies vaccination but also had additional questions as both had tummy issues - the vet did not have to do any of it (the place was for vaccinations only) but she also gave them a dewormer, discussed food choice with me and suggested a prebiotic that seems to help. Great staff (and affordable option)! I recommend the place.”

“Absolutely fantastic experience. My cat needed testing for his heart. I was extremely nervous. The staff was very kind and they got us in quick. They took very good care of my baby as he was terrified. The provider was extremely knowledgeable and explained his results in a way that I would understand. It was a little pricey but totally worth it to make sure my baby was healthy. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone seeking good quality care for their fur baby.”

“Last week we brought our sweet Axel boy into the emergency vet because he was lethargic and his breathing was off. Dr. Josh evaluated him and we unfortunately were faced with the unthinkable after receiving terrible news and a grim prognosis. Dr. Josh explained everything well and with kindness, even though I know breaking news like this isn’t an easy burden to bear. We made the gutting decision to lay our boy to rest and relieve his pain. It was one of the worst nights of my life and hardest things I have had to do. With that being said, the staff and Dr. Josh were so kind, accommodating and understanding. They allowed my husband to go home to get our other dog, Axel’s best friend Harley, to be there and say goodbye (Dr. Josh mentioned previous families having done this and gave us the option when we expressed worry about Harley being confused as to where Axel went.) They made sure Axel was as comfortable as he could be while we said goodbye to our best friend. Thank you for making the experience a little less traumatic by the kindness and care you all provided. Thank you Dr. Josh for the kind sympathy card you sent us as well, it meant a lot.”
