“Great selection of groceries. A bit pricy on some items, but I guess that’s how all stores are these days. Friendly staff, and I do mean they are friendly, helpful, always checking to see if they can help you find anything They even help me get my groceries in my car and they lift heavy containers of water which this senior woman can't lift on my own!. The store is always clean. I especially like their deli! Their selections are great and they carry some hard-to-find meats and cheeses. This store is very well managed and a delight to shop in!”

“They are great, always making sure they have what you need , if they don’t they will make sure to get it for you. They never make you wait for hours, fast and very professional. Best pharmacy I’ve been to in St. Mary’s County. I switched from CVS around 2013 when they were St. Mary’s Pharmacy and never looked back. I’m so glad I found this little gem. Very satisfied”

“Great staff, always respectful, and professional. They remember their customers, and work diligently to accommodate you, and your needs. This is the only pharmacy that I’ve used for over a decade, and many more customers also do the same.”

“Great selection of food and friendly staff. It’s close to my home. Take advantage of the fuel points because there is a Harris Teeter sponsored fuel station close to the store”

“Our Weis is big enough to have most or all of what you want; without having to trudge through warehouse type store. If you really the variety, go across the street. For me, Weis is perfect.”

“Been using them for close to 5 years. Much better than the service or nonservice I received from CVS., ie wrong doses, drug not available!!!! Every pharmacy I have encountered, have had issues, but this one so far has been the most efficient!!!!”

“The pharmacists and staff know me by name. They are always available for questions regarding my medications or to help me find an item. Even when using the self checkout they are alert to any problems I might have especially when it relates to coupons or discounts. The shelves and pathways are never cluttered. I also appreciate their phone calls when my prescription is ready or not in stock. Even when the store is extremely busy, they keep you encouraged. I just love the store on Great Mills Road in Lexington Park even though other pharmacies are closer I’m willing to drive extra miles just to get the exceptional customer service I receive there.”

“While pricey..what I can't find elsewhere is usually here. Plus..abd this saves me driving time..they carry organic foods to some extent. So that is a plus. You can still get a real person to check you out, at the Giant..a plus!”

“This store and employees are amazing! Since covid I've been doing pick-up and it's like family now. When you go in everyone says hi and is there to help. Deli, bakery, shoppers, cashiers, management and everyone else there does an excellent job???”

“I am on vacation and one of my vials of insulin broke. Let me tell you! Gabby that works in the pharmacy was INCREDIBLE to work with. She kept calm, (I was not) she knew just how to help me, she got things in motion, and she followed up when she didn't have to. She has definitely set the bar high. I cried because she made things so easy (not a crier). I don't know how things work at Walgreens, but she deserves a raise! Thank you again, Gabby!”

“Prices are a little much, but as long as you shop the stuff that's on offer you'll be fine. Shelves are well stocked. Keep a close eye on your produce. Some are top notch. Some are not so much but still pretty spendy. Produce section really needs to rotate product more often for what they're charging. The stars of this place are the staff. Holy wow. So so nice and friendly, and having fun chatting with you while checking you out. It's that little extra lovely interaction on your way out that pushes this to a full 5 stars. Without the staff, this place would be any other grocery store. That is not the case.”

“I can't believe the other reviewers are talking about the CVS in Solomons. My experiences at this Pharmacy over the past 22 years have been 100% positive. I just called the store to find out what the ingredients in a prescription vitamin are and 1) they answered their phone immediately, 2) the pharmacist got on the line and answered the question in detail.”

“Nothing, I switched to this CVS because of the pharmacist and staff even though I have a CVS less than a mile from my house I choose to drive 7 miles to get to this CVS and I like the fact it is located in Target which enables me to do other things.”

“My first time in this Walgreens. This one is a bit of a drive for me, but it was the only one offering the covid booster vaccine. I easily made an appointment online. Showed up on time and did not have to wait. The staff explained everything in a clear manner and I was walking out the door about 10 minutes later fully vaccinated. The store itself is in a strip mall, and is a bit dark and dingy and on the small side. It's also pretty dirty inside, the floors could use a good sweeping and scrubbing.”

“I came into the pharmacy an hour before they closed tonight needed an important medicine for my 4 year old that is sick. The ladies (I wish I could remember their names) were so nice and made sure I had it quickly. Best experience I’ve had at a pharmacy and it means so much that I was able to get medicine for my sick kids.”

“I contacted MedStar St. Mary's after my 70+ year old Dad told me about his experience during an MRI while admitted for pneumonia. I submitted feedback on 2 Nov 23 here: On 9 Nov I received a call from Mr. Mike Hanbury, Director of Imaging at St. Mary's Hospital. He was very concerned about the feedback I had provided and assured me that he had met with the MRI technicians to discuss my feedback and the potential safety issues encountered. Mr. Hanbury was very understanding and took the feedback very seriously. It speaks volumes that the hospital staff are very interested, take action to address your concerns, and to give you a call to let you now that they have done so. While it is understandable that there may be things that don't go perfectly with a patient, it is important that customers/patients/caregivers provide an institution with objective feedback so that they are aware. I sincerely appreciate Mr. Hanbury's and St. Mary's Hospital's concern regarding the whole situation.”

“Was able to log on, and within 15 minutes get an appointment for a rapid covid test. They called while I was enroute and told me I could come in early. Entire process was smooth and easy. And I'm negative. Thanks Jessica!!”

“They answered the phone when I didn’t know if my prescription was ready, and I was able to activate it with the app, which actually worked. Now they have my phone number and can text me when my prescriptions are ready. Prescription cones with information on how to fill, pharmacy hours, expected wait times. Pretty smooth first experience.”

“Very helpful staff from the initial phone call, to the help at RX drop off, to the pharmacist explaining the prescription at pickup. These ladies were happy to help and really made a hectic situation end perfectly and less out of pocket than expected. Tammy, Jenni, and the wonderful southern accented pharmacist(I didn’t catch your name), THANK YOU!”

“I like that this branch has an Pharmacy Drive-thru. No drive-thru at the Calvert Hospital branch, which is limited to RX fills. Some ratings here are about that location. So, some of the pharmacy staff at this location act as if they are bored or are unhappy. Could be that they suffer an illness that makes them act as if or that it is someone or some procedures makes them seem unhappy. It isn't a temporary thing as I have observed this every time I visit. Another young lady seems frustrated and takes a moment to shift from frustrated to kind/welcoming. The pharmacist I have communicated with has warmed to me and seems accepting of my personal needs. I have an RX that requires close scrutiny and, in the past, seemingly caused an attitude of judgment not suited towards terminal pt. needs. This pharmacist has seemingly warmed to me, perhaps due to my never having a 'panic' (or a 'seek') toward fill dates when inventory is low or when a question of 30 days vs. same DATE restriction. A person on the phone has not seemed to want to listen regarding this detail. I do not know their voices to determine who sighed into the receiver when I brought this subject to her attenrion. The date changes based on the no. of days in the month (28, 29, 30 & 31).The front cashiers I have encountered have been warm or friendly or both with the exception of an older gentleman to whom I could not get to engage. He didn't seem angry or bored; it was more of a feeling I had of his dislike for any conversation. I tried to get him to smile, look me in the eyes, or respond in kind towards my open attitude. I've only tried to speak with him once. Should we encounter each other again, I will be observant towards any attitude at others myself. It could have been a fluke day for him. If this happens again, I will amend this detail.I give 4 stars because the isle indicators are lacking distinction from products and can not be seen from most vantage points. I am supposing it is the isle height because the floor sqft limits inventory unless shelving is higher. The bldg seems to have been built to Walgreens specifications, and they miscalculated customers' wants and needs, or the population has overgrown the stores' original perception(s). If this was an existing build-out then perhaps Walgreens Corporate needs to contract for an addition/extension so the isles can be lowered to see what isles contain with distinction and more detail isle markers.Maybe purchase a close pc of land to build a stand-alone store space. The site would need to be near to where Walgreens currently sits as existing customers would not wish to travel farther, and there are a number of pharmacies close by. It could be a build more centered and standalone on the side where drive-thru is now. Customers come to Walgreens with all those choices, so Corporate should not risk losing its regulars. It is a preferred Medicare D pharmacy (not CVS). (There is a large - seemingly rarely used - parking lot on the drive- thru side of the bldg. perfect for my suggestion of adding square footage and gaining 5 star reviews).Keep the drive through and fix its communication. All employees should be on earpiece at this day and age, but especially drive-thru attendants/pharmacy customer service clerks. You know what? Now that I am speaking of the drive-thru, this bldg was a bank! The antiquated drawer, corded phone use for drive-thru customers, goose neck microphone that rarely works and gets in the way and poles where I am guessing a tube shute once was, gives insight into to why space is cramped for pharmacy inventory and personnel especially and why I can not see isle markers or find what I am looking for without assistance! Tear down after building a new store centered in side parking lot then tear this one down to make a new parking lot. Drive thru with good cameras and lighting now facing where the entrance was on this old bldg.!!!??? Will owner of land allow for this? Ask!”

“When I tell you these women went above and beyond to fill my daughter’s prescription and make sure she was ok, they did! I live in a small town and we have very limited options for late-night pharmacy services. When my ‘regular’ pharmacy closed early, I ran to Giant’s pharmacy 8 minutes before they closed. They rushed to fill my baby’s prescription and made sure that I understood how to administer her meds. I will be using this pharmacy from now on. Kudos to the two women who were working tonight (the pharmacist herself and the clerk). They made this momma super relieved.”

“I am giving you the date and time as I forgot the persons name.. It was Friday Dec 16 around 3-4p at the Leonardtown CVS. I was checking out and had purchased a heavy case of water with a few other items. The young lady up front offered to take my purchases out to my car and assist me with loading the items. I am an elderly person so assistance was greatly appreciated. Yet, I did not have to ask for assistance, this young lady identified an opportunity to assist another person who needed help and acted without being asked and also with cheerful attitude. She went above and beyond. Thank you and if we had more thoughtful compassionate people as this young lady, I think your star rating would be higher and the world a better place. Hopefully you can identify this person and acknowledge her good works.”
