“Amazing shop to work with. My family and I were on a cross country tour when my drivetrain decided to stop cooperating in Baltimore. I called around to 3 different shops, and A-One was the middle of the road price point. However, they were the only shop out of the three willing to get me the low mileage transmission I thought I needed for my vehicle.Then David, called me and informed me it wasn't the trans, but instead the driveline that had failed. He had already ordered the replacement part, I asked about a transmission service, and an oil change as well. They did the whole job for about the same price as Audi quoted me for just an oil change and a trans service.Great shop, employees are awesome, very communicative, and super timely. He helped me as soon as I walked in, diagnosed it as a bad seal at the oil filter and then performed an oil change. Plus, that's all he charged me for! “The first time I came to this shop, they fixed my old 99 Ranger manual at an amazing price and so quick. This was in 2013. 10 years later, I have an 07 f150 that's slipping constantly, replaced the whole transmission and was really good with working it out with me for the cost of the repair. A few weeks later, the truck was shifting into neutral when it should have been shifting into 4th gear. I sent it back but they couldn't find any issues at the time, I replaced a few parts they suggested it might be (that the truck needed anyway). When I replaced my fuel filter, I noticed my transmission fluid was leaking, so I sent it back again. I'm thankful to have gotten a great warranty with them, they are now in the process of replacing it again for me since they transmission that was originally sent went bad only after a few weeks of having it. Terry has been super helpful and polite, he's been amazing at helping me through this. :)Forgot to mention, all three times I had to send the truck back to them, they towed it for me because I was too scared to mess it up further. Great customer service! The tow truck guy was also really nice. :)”

“No one is EVER going to want to discover their vehicle has transmission problems. Everyone had advice as to whether I should fix the car or ditch the car. After a million used cars viewed, I unfortunately realized that the horribly high price tag for replacing a transmission is still better than what it costs to replace an entire car, even if I go for a decent used model. Ugh!Thankfully, I finally got the BEST tip: call AAMCO; and luckily for me, my closest shop (Glen Burnie, MD) has Chuck. With his help, I learned the standard services are valuable enough (towing, the possibility to REBUILD rather than replace, and an entire nation of branches prepared to honor your warranty for up to three years!), but he was also able to match OR DO BETTER than the best price I could find elsewhere. Win-win! Chuck even put up with the challenging questions my regular mechanic was insisting I ask to make sure I wasn't being taken for a ride. I'm telling you; this guy has patience, and this garage comes through!Don't get me wrong, I still think the price of transmission problems is heartburn-inducing and the tailpipe ought to be spouting rainbow bubbles for the cost, but I wholeheartedly believe I got an amazing deal.I can't write a big enough THANK YOU, but I hope this comes close.”
