“We do all of our jewelry purchases here, as well as jewelry repairs. It is a stand alone shop -- not part of a chain -- so it's all personalized service by people who know their stuff. At this point, I'd rather work with them and get what my wife wants rather than try to find a pre-made piece. Prices are reasonable - you do not pay the premium you would at, say, Tiffany's.”

“Joseph Gann Jewelers is the best. We have worked with Matt Gann since 2010 on 4 rings: An heirloom blue sapphire and ruby that were each set into pre-existing settings and (a decade later) a tourmaline and white sapphire that were set into custom mounts. Each of these rings are beautiful and the finished product suits each stone perfectly. I cannot say enough wonderful things about working with Matt Gann: He is the epitome of trust and courtesy; we have never felt rushed through the selection process; and when we brought in less conventional gemstones for setting (a huge tourmaline and a white/blue-gray sapphire) there was a great feeling of collaboration and mutual respect. Without needing to say much, Matt understood our vision as well as what would likely be to each gemstone's advantage. I receive tons of compliments on my tourmaline ring (from 2021) The setting had to be designed and made from scratch to accommodate the stone. The result is stunning. Don't be afraid to go custom! It's worth it! When we picked up our most recent collaboration earlier this month (a white sapphire ring in an art-deco style) I was overwhelmed with joy...it was gorgeous and much more opulent than I expected. I wear all four rings from Joseph Gann on regular 'rotation' and with each one so different from the other, it's hard to believe that they come from the same jeweler. However, there is one thing common to them all: Outstanding Quality. We are so pleased to have Joseph Gann as our jeweler and look forward to working with Matt Gann again in the near future.”

“TLDR; Came back here to have a ring that I bought elsewhere resized (made smaller), and had the same fantastic experience I had 7 years ago. The gentleman at the front who helped me was extremely understanding, professional and knowledgeable, and he was able to quickly and confidently resize me and help me understand some next steps (1 week for their jeweler to resize the ring, which resizing process I wanted and how that might change the finish). He was also very clear about explaining how we would select the right size for me (considering how my hands might change in different temperatures, that it would not slip past the knuckle, etc). Still, I realized as I was a block away after leaving the store that I wanted to take one more look at another size and I really wanted to be 100% sure before I committed. I came back 5 min later and he was completely understanding about my trying some different sizes again and making sure I had all the information to make the right choice, letting me make the decision I felt most comfortable with. After getting to re-try the fit, I ended up feeling confident that the size he had originally selected was the right fit for me. I came back a week later and everything went smoothly when I picked up the resized ring (again, a pleasant experience). It's been a month now, and I've been so happy with the new fit! I'm very grateful that they were able to provide me with such a pleasant experience when dealing with jewelry that has so much sentimental value to me, and I can't recommend them enough.”

“Fabulous jewelry store with excellent customer service and repairs. We have been going to DeScenza Diamonds since the early 1980's. My husband always shops the high end jewelry stores on Newbury Street and in Boston, then he goes to DeScenza Diamonds and has something ordered or custom made for me. Some of the designer pieces he has purchased have been one of a kind or limited production. The focus is traditional, but stunning jewelry. They also feature some contemporary designers.”

“As anyone who has walked into a Rolex authorized dealer in the past 3-4 years will tell you - it's a massively soul sucking experience 90% of the time. Most AD's will treat you like a second class citizen for even daring to ask if you are allowed to purchase anything. They make you purchase things you don't want, drive up your spend history, and then dangle the carrot for months or years (usually with no intention of ever actually giving you that Daytona or Submariner). THIS is why I was so impressed and thankful to have met Cameron and the team at Tourneau Copley Place. In the 15+ ADs that I've visited over the past few years, Tourneau Copley Plaza has hands down been the friendliest, kindest, most patient, and the most HONEST of them all. When I initially called to inquire about purchasing 2 different harder to find Tudors, he was extremely patient with me and answered all of my questions. The next day I went in and had an even better conversation with him (and eventually made the Tudor purchase). Since then, I feel like I have made a great friend. Lots of great dialogue, conversation, and insights into all things watches. It never feels like a business, but rather a great discussion with people who also have a passion for watches. Also - they have a ton of other awesome brands besides Rolex. Tudor, Cartier, Panerai, JLC, Nomos, GP, IWC - all under one roof. If you get a chance, stop in and say hi. You won't regret it!”

When I needed to have something different for a necklace, he told me he did not have what I needed, was clear and appropriate in how he described it. Only reason 4 instead of 5 is that he doesn't have everything for jewelry, but I normally go there for watches so is ok.”

“This review is based on two different visits to the boutique - both times I had made an appointment on Cartier's website. In my first visit, I wanted to purchase the Trinity ring. The sales associate (I don't remember her name) seemed bored and unengaged. I've had much better experiences with the Cartier boutique in Chicago and Philadelphia and I was overall disappointed by the experience, even though I did buy the ring. It just didn't feel like a very special experience, and at Cartier's prices, they really should be. My second visit, I went in with my husband as he was going to buy me a bracelet as an anniversary gift. Our SA Elisa was wonderful to work with - she was excited to find the perfect gift to fit my style, and it was fun trying on different options with her. I appreciated her honesty and it felt like we were really shopping together, versus the first visit where it felt like I was shopping and the SA was just there. Elisa helped me land on the small model Juste un Clou with diamonds, and she was happy to include perfume samples, a travel case, and a cleaning kit with my order (this is not always the case in luxury jewelry boutiques). I mentioned that I'm interested in purchasing a watch for my husband, and she showed us some models without being pushy at all. I really appreciate this in an SA, and we actually ended up going back to the boutique to buy the watch that same day. Good customer service goes such a long way, and I'm happy to have found an SA I will continue to work with at this boutique. I wish all of the SAs at this location could be as wonderful!”

“PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT GO BY THE REVIEWS! EXPERIENCE IT FOR YOURSELF. I visited for the first time today this Tiffany’s on Newbury Street. I’d read a lot of negative reviews about this particular store; and quite honestly, I was THIS CLOSE to NOT going. But, I thought to myself….like anything else in life, you need to see for yourself. I will admit…I was apprehensive as I approached the store; BUT…as soon as I opened the door, I was immediately and simultaneously greeted by a man…I believe he was security, but you’d never know by his warm smile…and a woman behind the circular counter named Sophie? I feel blessed to have had Sophie as my attendant. I came prepared with photographs of a few items I’d seen online, which she showed me, and one I did purchase. The other item, a ring, wasn’t in inventory at the store in my size; she could have it overnighted. But what I truly appreciated is that she showed me rings similar to the one I originally wanted to purchase…AND….she didn’t bring out rings that were 10x the price; which, quite honestly, in the jewelry business is unheard of. She sat me down, offered coffee; and we chatted and chatted about anything and everything. (Now, I went within 15 minutes of the store opening for the day). She was warm, friendly….and I mean GENUINE friendly…not that fake kind of salesperson friendly trying to make commission. Sophie was REAL! By the end of our time together, I felt like I’d made a friend. I was happy. I couldn’t stop smiling…AND it WAS NOT because I purchased some items from Tiffanys, it was because of Sophie and the warmth and graciousness I experienced. I also met one of the managers (forgive me, I don’t remember your name). She was wonderful; and we also chatted for a few minutes. At that moment, I believe I was the only customer in the store. Sophie and I hugged and the staff said, “Stop by again, just to say hello.” Who does that? What jewelry store tells you to come back just to say hello?? I’m a born and bred New Yorker….59 years old. And I can PERSONALLY tell you I’ve NEVER had ANY retailer…jewelry, clothing, shoes tell me to come back in just to say hello. I’m going to end this review the way it was started…. PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT GO BY THE REVIEWS! EXPERIENCE IT FOR YOURSELF.”
