“I booked my first permanent jewelry appointment with Christie at Melene Kent Jewels in January of 2023, and loved her work so much that I've been back two more times since. There were several other permanent jewelry studios in Boston that were closer, but I chose to go to her because the quality of her jewelry was excellent and I wanted to work with someone who really valued me and my style and who would work with me to find the right fit. Permanent jewelry is a really personal choice, and Christie's commitment to her clients and love of her work made it a great experience. All of my chains have lasted beautifully with minimal maintenance, and I look forward to wearing them for many years to come.”

“If you’re visiting Salem, love Halloween, and like to wear all black then this store is a MUST visit. There were so many unique items that I haven’t seen anywhere else, and I could have spent hours in there. My friends and I visited over Halloween weekend but didn’t have to wait for too long outside, and were greeted by the friendliest staff. It has a dark and spooky interior which I loved and it really added to the overall shopping experience. I highly recommend this shop and we can’t wait to go back!”

“I purchased a purple wool shawl from here in the fall of 2022, absolutely love it. I love it so much I'm seriously considering traveling to here again from out of state to get another. I can't find any others like it online. I really wished they had them on their website so I could order online or something. But oh well. The shawls are visible outside their storefront on google maps at least. Vouch.”

“Amazing place! One of the places in Salem that aren't super geared towards tourists. No wands or harry potter T shirts. They have a lot of art from local artists and a wide selection of oddities, clothes and body products. The employee who helped us was really helpful and lovely and the music is there was really nice. We came from flying saucer who was only playing Taylor Swift, so it was a breath of fresh air lol”

“I went there on Wednesday 12/27, trying to figure out the perfect stones for my journey. The staff was nothing more than wonderful! They were patient, kind, considerate, and extremely professional. They were the greatest help on my quest and it made my entire trip worth it! I found the perfect stones and THEN SOME! I found EVERYTHING I could possible want and more. I must have spent over an hour looking at all the precious items in that store and I felt NO PRESSURE ( I had felt bad because I didn’t want to feel like a burden or a pest), in fact, they encouraged me and helped me with any thought or question that came into my mind, and I was definitely scatterbrained that day. I ended up with a HUGE collection of awesome stones and automatically started to feel their presence. The staff on shift on Wednesday and Tuesday were the best. The prices were great too because you got your bang for your buck and still could go back for more and not break the bank! I highly recommend this store if you want to start your precious gem, jewelry, stone, ANYTHING collection. GO GO GO”

“Vivienne does an amazing job working in very slippery and difficult fabrics to produce a custom piece. I brought her a piece of fabric and some rough sketches that she turned into a gorgeous blouse. You have to be willing to pay for the one-of-a-kind customized pieces Vivienne makes, but if you are, she works with you to create a superior piece.”
