“We have been at the Wakefield KinderCare for over a year now and we couldn’t be happier! Our son started in the infant room where he was not only cared for by loving teachers but exposed to monthly curriculum and art projects that were age appropriate and fun! Since then, he has made a smooth transition into a toddler room where he continues to grow into a very independent and helpful little boy, with the love and support of his teachers while still learning through fun projects, activities and stories! Our son is welcomed, loved and taught by some of the kindest and most caring people I have met. Any and all questions or concerns are handled professionally and in a timely manner which was important as this was the first time we were sending our child to daycare. The director and assistant directors are hands-on and know all of the children by name. Wakefield KinderCare is a center daycare with a small, home daycare feel. We love it!”

Our oldest has grown into a social butterfly since starting here and it’s amazing to see the transformation from when she started at 18 months. Our youngest started in the infant class and the teachers have been able to get her on a schedule which has been so helpful. We can’t recommend NGCC enough!”

Our son absolutely loves going to school; from the management to the teachers at drop off/pick up it's clear that they work as a team and really make you feel like you've been a part of their family for forever.His direct classroom teachers, Miss Dana and Miss Kerri are amazing and the sweetest--he smiles so big when he sees them.Miss Dana was a tremendous help with the transition to being in school and has had great suggestions on how to help him acclimate to this newer routine. Miss Kerri has been wonderful with communication at the end of the day with how his day went. Both teachers go above and beyond to make sure my son is not only being cared for but is having fun throughout the day.They do utilize an in-house app which is awesome - we get live updates on activities and picture to accompany them! It's such a great tool to have and we love getting updates while at work. It honestly is such a great place and wouldn't hesitate to suggest it to anyone!”

“The Carmelite Preschool is a wonderful preschool and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a school that balances academic learning with play and the arts. They understand that kids need to be kids. They have a beautiful playground outside and an indoor play area for when the kids can't go outside. My daughter left the Carmelite Preschool ready to excel in kindergarten. She placed average or above average in all areas of MAP testing and that speaks to the program at the Carmelites. Lastly, the school emphasizes community and gives all children a sense of love and belonging. The Carmelite Preschool was every thing I had hoped for in a school for my child and much, much more!”

“I was on a search for a quality childcare program for my then 12 month old baby. I had just moved to Woburn and wanted something in the vicinity. I visit a few programs and despite many of the positives, I always had a list of areas I was not so fond of. Until I visited First Circle in Lexington. I loved that the school was located in a residential neighborhood and off of the main road. It is on conservation land with ample parking (and never a problem with busy drop off and pickup times) and wonderful space for the babies/toddlers/children to play in the back, in an enclosed safe space. I was greeted by Stephanie, who was so warm. She engaged with my daughter and was so patient with me and my million first time mom questions. The entire day care space that the babies/toddlers/kids are in so not have floor to ceiling walls, making it feel so open and large. Additionally, it means you can see into the next classroom. This feels so comforting as a parent- to know that all teachers can see one another and the kids already are familiar with the teachers and children in the next class that they transition into. The staff are all so warm, caring, loving and skilled. It was a difficult transition for me (and my little!) but I knew she was safe and cared for and it made the transition easier. My daughter is now in her last year at First Circle and my newborn has been there since 3 months. I am so very thankful for both of their care and for their development in each of their class. Look no further- this is the best childcare program!”

“Our daughter went to Open Center for two years through Spring ‘23, when she graduated out and went to kindergarten. It was simply terrific!Loved the play-based, joyful approach. Meanwhile, I was always impressed with how much she learned. To this day, I keep finding out that some of the things she knows are from her time there.Great teachers, leadership and families. “My son just finished his first year here and is looking forward to another one! This school is a very special place. I chose WCNS after making a huge spreadsheet of preschools. This one stuck out because:1. it is a coop-- meaning parents are very involved, although the teachers are the ones who run the show in the classroom. I get to go in one morning a month and play with my child and his friends, so I have some insight into what he does at school. I am also part of a supportive community of parents who all work together to make decisions about how the school is run. (And yeah, that definitely requires more work and energy than other preschool options.)2. it's a play-based curriculum, which is what I wanted based on research into what preschool kids actually need3. the tuition is one of the lowest rates around4. there is an awesome amount of diversity for such a small school.5. it's a mixed-age classroom. As a three-year-old, my son really enjoyed learning from older kids. Next year he'll get to try out what it's like to be a leader in the classroom.The school has been around for more than 70 years and we keep meeting people in the Watertown area who attended when they were children. It's neat to be part of that community!”

“My son has been at LS since he was 5 months old. From the first day when I cried leaving my only baby at daycare, his teachers have been amazingly compassionate, responsive, and supportive of both me and my son. I quickly realized he was in great hands and would thrive there. His teacher Nicole, now also the assistant director, is incredibly organized and communicative; she and his current teacher, Talisha, make sure I get regular updates and photos during the day. They adore my son as much as I do, and I always know he is doing something stimulating and educational throughout the day.I do wish they were open a little longer in the afternoon, but it’s understandable considering the national shortage of daycare teachers.Little Sprouts does seem to value their employees more than many other centers, and is thus able to retain some great staff (like Nicole and Talisha) for the long term, keeping experienced teachers in the classroom. “Our 5 year old has been attending Moppets since he was 10 months. I cannot say enough about how incredible this place is! From the second I walked in I knew he would be in great hands. The teachers are fantastic, their hands-on curriculum is amazing, and most importantly they really love all of the kids. He will be attending Kindergarten in the fall and is fully prepared to be entering the public school system. He has absolutely loved coming to school everyday and we will miss our Moppets family! I cannot recommend Moppets enough!”

“I live in Maryland but am a Boston native, and found Sergio and 247 Drums on line searching for Yamaha dealers. I was looking for a special set of drums for my husband for his birthday and fathers day. He is a big Larry Mullen fan U2, and wanted the Yamaha silver sparkle finish - which you cannot just go out and find or order on line. I reached out to Sergio who simply made it happen. Through Covid and all life's craziness, my wonderful husband, who never does anything for himself, has always wanted a "real" drum kit. We put together the most incredible of kits, and my children and I made a huge Larry Mullen presentation to gift him his dream set. Sergio is an incredible resource - meticulous, diligent, incredibly responsive and patient. Sergio did not try to "sell" me anything - he guided me expertly, from choosing the right set up, to providing updates along the way, to being patient with me getting cold feet on the purchase, Sergio couldn't have been more wonderful. The order (because of Yamaha custom work and shipping) did take a bit to fulfill - but Sergio kept in contact with Yamaha, communicating with me throughout the process. Sergio was always on top of it and made sure that we got everything we ordered, delivered perfectly to Maryland. “The ABGC is a safe, fun, great place for kids to grow up alongside wonderful role models , wonderful staff, and so many of whom have been involved for many years. I have seen a major improvement in my kids social and emotional health from their experiences and relationships, and relationship building skills being discovered and built at the boys n girls club. They also are healthier from the regular swimming, exercising, and excitement of being with friends after school. They learn to cook, and learn all types of different things there. Anytime I walked around inside it was very clean considering all the traffic, they definitely have professionals deep cleaning regularly. I wish I had a place like ABGC in my town growing up. It's a gift to our community.”
