While waiting for our fence to be installed, Westlake was flexible and per my request, rescheduled my appointment three times, at times with very little notice. “Last Saturday I called American Mulch Producers in Southfield and spoke with Katie. She was very patient, answering all of my questions and suggesting the best options for my garden project. An appointment to send 5 yards of the 50/50 triple sifted topsoil and composted leaves was made for Sunday morning. Katie was very helpful in steering me to the correct soil mix; the clean compost smell and the rich black dirt would be perfect. Driver Ernie called before arriving. He came right on time, finding the location amongst many one-way streets with no problem. Ernie skillfully maneuvered the amazing dump truck into position along the tight alleyway, and dropped the 5 yards right on target. Thank you Katie and Ernie for a good experience!”

“Finally stopped by here after passing it so many times because I saw the native plant sign. They have so many natives and the employees and owner are wonderful and will even offer to order plants they don’t have stock. They grow some of their natives from seed and source other hard to get ones, like sweet pepperbush, from other growers. My new favorite garden center!”
“I just LOVE English Gardens! I’ve been coming here for years with my mom. We usually come for houseplants as we have a nursery closer to home, but no where compares when it comes to houseplants, so we make the trek down for English Gardens. They have a beautiful selection of houseplants year round with lots of small options as well as bigger ones too! They also have a great selection of pots. This trip we bought a ton of seeds! They have a wonderful assortment, they sell MIgardener, Botanical Interests and two others as well, but we stuck to those two brands for personal preference. Customer service is always great, we called ahead to see what kinds of seeds they had and were given great information over the phone. Will come back again and again for all our plant needs!”

“I bought two big potted inpatients for my very shaded porch and one is not doing well compared to the other. Both were watered on Friday and today, one is very wilty looking. The price was so much cheaper than English Gardens which thr same planter was priced at $52.99 So of course, Home Depot was way less expensive at $18.99. However, if one plant dies, well them it won't be quite as inexpensive.”
“I went to Bordines for their Christmas artificial stems to fill a vase I had. I was literally running around trying every stem like a chicken with its head cut off but just couldn’t find anything that worked. One of the workers popped up without even being asked and held an arrangement of stems for my vase and then added a few more till it looked great! I am very grateful for her help and will definitely be returning!”
“I see some bad reviews, but I have always had a great experience here. Rented a hedge trimmer, a drain snake/cleaner, and a carpet cleaner and each time I had attentive service and the equipment was in great shape. Southfield Home Depot is my favorite even though I also go to the one in Troy. Easy and convenient for me.”

“Too bad, I can't give Home Depot 6 stars! Here's why: Today, I was in need of a garbage disposal, (Initially dealt with another major supply store, but sadly, due to several weeks of ongoing issues with miscommunication and lack of inventory, given reassurances and awaiting phone calls to fix the matter, I decided to get a refund and take my business elsewhere.) Hence, searched online, picked out a Badger 5 / 1/2 HP product to purchase. Contacted Home Depot Rochester Hills service desk, spoke to Mike K, who connected me with Beth (Plumbing/Kitchen Dept.) Beth not only helped me locate my requested product, she also pulled another comparable product to allow me a secondary choice along with product pricing, she immediately set up a Home Depot service person to contact me for my garbage disposal installation, and was able to pay for it right over the phone. She reassured me, that she would pull both disposals, set them on a counter, and instructed me to go directly to Kitchen department for pick-up. To my surprise, approximately, 30 minutes later, the Home depot serviceman called me, set up an appointment to install my garbage disposal, today. Mind you, I was just getting my shoes on to pick- up the disposal. Of course, I made an appointment as soon as I was able to pick up the disposal. Beth kept her word, when I arrived at the store, that's exactly where I found the disposals setting; at the Kitchen counter showroom. No time to waste, the Badger 5 unit was my choice, so, I proceeded to walk to the service desk where a very nice cashier, quickly assisted me on my purchase. Finally, got home and to my amazement, my husband was waiting at the door, laughingly, grabbed it from me, to hand to the serviceman Stanley, who was there in the kitchen ready to install. Wow! He had actually already removed the old disposal and awaited the new one, in the time that I was coming home from the store. Wow! Home Depot and their serviceman were totally on the ball today! My husband and I are very satisfied customers, impressed with Home Depot's fast and excellent service, and highly recommend anyone searching for great service to go to Home Depot in Rochester Hills. Thank-you Home Depot employees: Mike K, Beth, Stanley the serviceman, and all others who assisted me and provided OUTSTANDING service.”

“I ordered a leaf blower online and received it the same day, unfortunately the battery was missing, I called customer service and they referred me to the store manager and this guy. He was very nice. He asked me to send some pictures and less than an hour later I had a new box delivered to my house and they took the old blower back to the store.

“I called to see if I could purchase 5 yards of mulch and to see when I could have it delivered. Buying the mulch was the easy part, but what was just as easy was getting it delivered. I ordered it about 8 AM, and it was delivered by about 11:20 AM the same day! I had contacted another source, and they were going to be able to deliver it for another week, and they were more expensive. I will definitely be calling Advance again, I suggest you do too!”
