“We had two very good experiences with Paul recently. The gas filler door on my friend's older Honda Civic would not open. Paul was able to repair the cable and at the same time replaced a spark plug which was causing the engine to miss. The work was done promptly at a very reasonable price. I was so impressed that I brought my older Jaguar in the next week to have the fuel filter replaced. Hodges Auto is highly recommended!”

“My husband and I were traveling around Lake Michigan when our car broke down. The tow truck driver gave us a couple of options and we went with Paul's. Our breakdown was on a Sunday when no shops were open. So we dropped the car off Sunday evening. They made time to look at the car on Monday. On Tuesday morning, I was told to expect the car to be ready by late Wednesday. Then I get a call in the afternoon that it was ready! When we went to pick up the car, Joe was there and explained the repair and the warrantee that came with the part. He recommended that we take the car out for a drive to make sure all was in order and then provided his personal cell number to let him know how it went. Our vehicle is a BMW and you never know who is capable of doing the repairs and if parts will be immediately available. We are so grateful to Gloria (the service writer who was so gracious every time I called for an update), Joe, (the owner who was very accommodating and empathetic) as well as the mechanic who did the actual work (thank you! I wish I knew your name!). I am so glad we landed at their shop! If I were a local, Paul's would be my go-to place!”
