“I’m sure the Home Depot is great but I would not recommend to buy an appliance from there. They use a delivery company out of Memphis called Pillar Logistics. They are terrible. If you go to Pillar’s BBB record they have an F and only one star. We were lied to multiple times by the delivery driver and the appliances did not get delivered on two separately scheduled appointments. We were told the first time that the driver couldn’t find our house, rather he said he can by the house multiple times and we were not home. Why not call if you had an issue? He called one time around 5 pm and let the phone ring once and hung up. So we called him back but he said he was back in Tupelo and was headed back to Memphis. We asked if he could stay there and let us come get it off the truck and he wouldn’t. We have a gravel drive in the country and dogs in the house that would have barked had he pulled into our drive. He claims he was trying to drop it off at a house by the Amory High-school and we don’t even live in Amory city limits. When we called Home Depot the next day they called Pillar and we’re told the reason we didn’t get our delivery is that the truck broke down. We told them that was incorrect as we had spoken to the delivery driver on the phone. So Home Depot called Pillar back and this time they were told that actually our appliances weren’t on the truck. They weren’t even in the warehouse. They were waiting on GE to send them. So which of the three lies was it? They rescheduled the drop off for a week and a half later and called on that day to say the truck was broken down and they wouldn’t be able to make the delivery. Really? I wound up going to Home Depot to cancel the order. When I got there they showed where the delivery driver marked we had requested a later delivery after the first failed delivery attempt. I said no we were forced to take that delivery date. We never asked for delivery to be delayed. After canceling my order I drove over to Lowes. This was last Friday. Lowes had the same washer/dryer in stock and guess what they were delivered today during the set appointment time. The only reason I’m giving this review a three is because the employees at Home Depot were awesome. They went out of their way to help me and were sympathetic to what was happening. They were basically stuck in the middle between us and the delivery company. They also did not give me a hard time about canceling my order and said they understood. If Home Depot were to start doing their own deliveries or get a different delivery company I would be willing to give them a second chance and purchase an appliance from them.”
